#1bansheeSep 26, 2003 14:49:16 | I'm curious. Looking at the 3.5 rules, I've noticed the new class, the dude that progresses as both a wizard and a cleric. The prestige class... Given that WotC feels that's a balanced PrC, wouldn't it behoove the writers of Dark Sun 3E to consider the addition of a similar prestige class that has d4's for hp, bad BAB progression, etc., and allows a character to progress in arcane spellcaster levels, and psion power usage levels at the same time? It's basically the same.....and given that it would require 6 levels of wizard and psion to qualify for, I'm sure it would be a better way of having a character who desires to become a Dragon or Avangion. I mean, by level 16, he'd effectively cast/manifest as a wizard 13/psion 13. Add on four extra levels (2 in each), and he's a wizard 15/psion 15...at least in spellcasting/psionic ability. That means by lvl 25, he could qualify for Dragon or Avangion.....which is still really high level, but more attainable than requiring him to reach lvl 40... Banshee |

Personally, I think there's a minor wait on the advanced beings, to see what the Athas.org team has up their malevolent little sleeves. After there's some peek at what they're proposing as far as advanced beings go, then you can rest assured that the community will come forth to rant and rave like only good ol ranting and raving lunatics can. |
