I have read in Warriors of Heaven that the Astral Deva kann only be on the Astral Plane and on the Lower Planes. I have not found anything similar in the 3.5 Monster Manual oder Savage Species.

You as the DM can do what you like, but they wouldnt be called Astral Devas for nothing.

Nov 02, 2003 17:26:56 The Devas can be found in the Fiend Folio (not a very accurate name for the book, now is it, bloods?) But here's how the devas work. Astral devas work with the Outer Planes (those touching the Astral). As such, they fight fiends and tend to those matters. They are usually the most powerful. Movanic devas deal with the Prime. There, they help powerful good cutters or, rarely, rescue some extremely saintly individual or ask them to perform a quest. Monadic devas work with the Inner Planes. This is not usually a high-priority area for Upper Planes powers, but there are good deities that live in the Elemental Planes, so they can keep busy. Now, I'm sure that the devas aren't physically bound to remain in their respective domains, but they just generally hang out in certain places. It's most likely just the wishes of the powers they serve.

Nov 03, 2003 3:22:51 Celestials helping mortals... GRRRRRRrrrrrrr. Actually my my cleric used a scroll of Planar Ally to help the party defeat a Lich Clr17, a beblith, and a Vrock in adventure tonight. I would of done some real damage to them with the Beblith. Course I reminded them they had the scroll *grin*. Course I gave them a helluva choice in the bargaining portion of the spell. Either the Planetar they Called would help them defeat the demons or he would take a Book of Vile Darkness they had accquired off their hands. They chose to beat the demons and deal with the book themselves. *fumes*
