#1zombiegleemaxNov 01, 2003 14:01:16 | We know of Aduria to the far south, Thaele to the frozen north, and the mysterious lands to the east that the Khinasi come from. But what do we really know about these lands? What hard data do we have on them? We know Aduria had come to be dominated by the church of Azrai, which was the reason why humans fled to Cerilia in the first place. But what is Aduria like? What gods rule there now, now that Azrai is gone? Are any nonhuman races native to there? (Unlikely, as Cerilia seems to be the nonhuman homeland). What of Thaele? We know it's a continent only recently colonized by humans, and inhabited by giants. But what is it like? We know it's arctic cold, filled with forests. Is there any civilization up there? Are there any humans native to the place? Considering how pristine it is, one might imagine the place is swarming in arcane magic, or at least creatures of magic; it's like Cerilia, before humanity showed up. And what about the Khinasi homeland? One would assume it's a Middle East-style continent, with sand dunes and creatures out of Arabic myth. Could we find a faux Egypt over there? What's the state of arcane magic in these foreign lands? We know that only elves, half-elves, and blooded characters can use True Magic; every other being in Aebrynis is limited to the lesser craft of the magician. Would these other lands be higher in quantity of clerics, what with arcane magic being so limited? --I'm sure someone knows the answers NB |
