Some heavy-duty lameness going on there, no doubt.

This is almost as bad as the time Greyhawk stole the Drow from Forgotten Realms. Those fiends!

Ah, so THIS thread is why y'all decided to pop on over. Hehe, I was going to mention it myself but decided not to on the basis that it'd create a flame-war.

Oh well, too late :D

I can't stand it when a FR person declares to know even the slightest thing about Greyhawk. lol, I bet if you asked any of them what Ivid's son name was they wouldn't even know...

Yeah, I had to put in my two cents over their. Of all the settings to claim something was stolen from them. FR is the one calling the kettle black.

Ok so maybe it's a buck fifty but I can't stand ignorance.

It's kinda strange this war between FR an GH. I think we feel FR or GH are responsable as if they were an entity.

BUt it's only WOTC/TSR choice, it may be silly to write that, but no more than all the childish attacks i can read all over the forums all over wiz boards.

Of course, i am not better than othrs, sometimes i fall in the trap, but, again, the problem is WOTC attitude and ambiguity.
I will try to avoid my this weakness in the future..;)

IT should have been posted before, but are there any WOTC responsable on the forum to speak with??
Or is WOTC working for the CIA and theirs employees cannot communicate freely?

I don't "hate" FR. I don't go to FR forums and spatter on about how FR sucks and Greyhawk rules. I do hate it when any FR diehard claims to even know a shred of Greyhawk tho.

I don't understand how a person can become so incensed at such a small issue. I think some FR fanboys are overreacting. A member named Damarkos put it very well when he reminded the antagonists that Draconomicon is not a core book ruleboook. It's just a supplement, to enrich or add diversity to individual table top games. Draconomicon won't have an effect on game mechanics, so why blow so much steam over it.

And then the idea of theft... Seriously, some peeps act like a thug mugged them in the streets. I think it's okay if creatures are shared amongst the campaign worlds. When you sit down at your gaming table, and a creature from "another campaign setting" appears, and it enriches and adds variety to your game, does it matter where it came from?

Where something came from and who published it doesn't matter once it hits the gaming table. DMs and Players will work out the details of their worlds as they see fit. If they want something from another setting or supplement, it's available - and that's good for playing D&D.
