#2ctuttleNov 05, 2003 21:04:05 | As legal as your DM makes it. Player Characters in Greyhawk typically are your standard class/race combinations. |
#3ArgonNov 05, 2003 23:00:17 | Sure if you want too! Just don't ask me to be your DM is all! |
#4zombiegleemaxNov 05, 2003 23:46:08 | That'd be one lame campaign IMO... Abyss |
#5Brom_BlackforgeNov 06, 2003 8:50:07 | Originally posted by abysslin Nah, it'd just be hard to get served at a tavern in Greyhawk. (Except maybe the Green Dragon Inn . . .) :D |
#6AeoliusNov 06, 2003 9:11:25 | Depends on the dragon. Half-dragons are a bit more reasonable, say a half-dragon (turtle) / half-troll (scrag)? I think it's more of a size/hit die issue more than anything. Playing a human to troll sized dragon with level progressions wouldn't hopelessly unbalance things. But then again, standard races never seem to last long in my campaigns. :D |
#7GreysonNov 06, 2003 12:36:11 | Sounds like a fun idea, playing as a dragon. As noted above, that's between you and your DM. But, I wouldn't. Because it's also between you and other players. We've had a player who played an Irdan (from Dragonlance, speaking of "stealing") in our ToEE campaign. Then he played a drow elf when we went through the RttToEE. Both times his choice of PC made it exceedingly more difficult for us as players. Some times it just was not fun. Some races, just for sake of game continuity and smoothness, should not be PCs. Is smoothness a word? If not, I just invented it |
