#1zombiegleemaxNov 10, 2003 21:30:34 | Well, I got the Dragonlance Campaign Setting this weekend. It is freaking awesome. Next to Dark Sun, Dragonlance is definately my favorite setting (not counting OGL settings such as Diamond Throne and Scarred Lands, of course). One thing saddened me, though. In the monsters section, all it had was the Chromatic and Metallic Dragons. If I recall there were also Dracoliches, shadow Dragons, and those weird Magma dragons (this is from the 5th Age Saga Rules boxed set... which I sold on e-bay for a decent price :D ). These wren't even mentioned in the book, which is sad since I do enjoy Dragons, and the more the better. I have the Monsters of Faerun and Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting books, so that takes care of the Shadow and Dracoliches should I need them. Anyone know where I can get a third edition update to the Magma Dragons (again, this may not me be the correct name. They're made of living magma and drop embers and ash wherever they go, so I call them Magma Dragons... go figure eh?)? Thanks in Advance. PS- This is an amazing book. Interior was beautiful, and I lov the setting. So much better than the Forgotten Realms book, IMHO. |

It should have a number of pleasant surprises and welcome updates to some of the classic Dragonlance monsters, including the fire dragons (your "magma dragons") and other creatures not already published in the DLCS or Age of Mortals Campaign Companion. Cheers, Cam |

Besides that, the book has tons of wickedness to throw at PCs, as well as more than a few crunchy bits for the PCs to throw back at the DM. A perfect book for any Dragonlance campaign setting. |

So, in my mind, magma stuck, and fire wnt out (no pun intended). I did get the Draconomicon the other day, though. That is a sweet book. And I did notic the Pyroclastic or whatever they are. While I'd love the Bestiary of Krynn, I'm going to be moving, so Draconomicon was my last book for a very very long while. Pyroclastic will have to be a good enough substitute for now |

The name escapes me (since I always call it a Choas Dragon) but it should be near the back of the book if I remember right. |
