Now that the fate of the factions has been unvieled, what happened to all the sects after the Faction War? The Ragers, Merkhants, Ring-Givers, Banished, that faction from Mount Celestia (can't recall the name), and the ever-lovable Mathematicians? What happened to all these guys?

So far only the Ring-Givers have done anything of note. They are now a full-fledged Faction. As it stands the Order of the Planes-Militant is in conflict with the Sons of Mercy, the Guardians, and the Harmonium.

IMC a Dwarven Rager called Deek Blackhammer has constructed a Grand Arena near Tradegate for a Tournament of all comers. He hopes the Brotherhood of Glory does well enough to stand amongst the Factions Victorious!

I might be wrong, but the Mathematicians may have merged back with the Fraternity of Order when the latter moved from Sigil back to Mechanus as their base of operations.

The Sons of Mercy and the Guardians may be shifting closer and closer to an alliance or merger. And the friction between them and the Order of the Planes militant is there as always.

The Wylders and the Converts are still around, I take it?

I see no reason why not

I wrote up some material for PS3e in this regard, but it's purely unofficial as of yet. Most such groups - and there are a hell of a lot of them when you look hard enough - are relatively unchanged. Hell, I just noticed one I hadn't noticed before the other day (Brigadiers in Planes of Law). Most of them didn't change too much.

In my document, I had the Will of One become a new sect, and the Believers of the Source and Verdant Guild merged into a new sect. A couple saw a change in leadership or focus, but most are just were the original writers left them.

And, yes, I brought the Mathematicians back into the Guvner fold (once the Guvners returned to Mechanus, there was less of a reason for them to be seperate) and the Sons of Mercy and the Guardians are slowly merging (on account of like philosophies).

I liked what you wrote up too...

However wasn't it already established that the Believers of the Source and the Sign of One merged to form the Minds Eye?

Or did you assume that not all of the faction went the same way?

I don't see enough parallels between the Godsmen and the Verdant Guild to warrent a new sect arising from them both.

I should go back and read your stuff actually, but I'm a tad busy at the moment revising the Sigil draft which finally got done with the first round of editing.

I think it's a fair assumption that not all Godsmen and Signers thought the Mind's Eye was the cat's meow, so to speak.

The Godsmen merging with the Verdant Guild comes from the sub-faction of the Godsmen in Factol's Manifesto that believed animals had the same 'divine spark' that should be nurtured and respected as well as any "sentient being". Xena, as detailed in that book, was a member of this rather animal-centric offshoot.

Ah, now I remember Xena.

Alright, sounds good to me. I don't have any objections on any of those developments.
