#1zombiegleemaxNov 11, 2003 16:39:29 | Does anyone know what the first few published apperances of the Scarlet Brotherhood were? Thanks. |
#2zombiegleemaxNov 11, 2003 17:20:15 | IIRC they were in the 1983 box set GH setting as a sect of isolationist Suel monks. There was also a B&W map of the flanaess with symbols denoting alignment and I'm pretty sure they were down as LN. I've no idea about before then as I was only 11 ;) |
#3grodogNov 11, 2003 20:45:25 | From Jason Zavoda's wondrous index:Scarlet Brotherhood (20,000+/-)[KNG][ORG] Enjoy :D |
#4zombiegleemaxNov 12, 2003 19:13:18 | You know, most people don't have that index, so until JZ dumps his crybaby act about OJ and Canonfire, the relevance of posting excerpts seems dubious. |
#5zombiegleemaxNov 12, 2003 19:20:20 | Originally posted by Greyhack Dubious? What, if anything, has JZ's gripe with the OJ or CF got to do with posting excerpts from his index to help others in their research efforts? |
#6zombiegleemaxNov 12, 2003 19:31:54 | there is no key to the entries what is SAG what is SLV I could probably take some guesses, but having the whole thing would make it a lot more useful, and frankly, I'm just tired of seeing the work of whiners heralded. If JZ is too good to share his work here, or on greytalk, or on canonfire, or wherever, then let his work rot in obscurity, the community does not need the "well, im taking my ball and going home" attitudes or the fruits of the labors of those who possess them.. |
#7zombiegleemaxNov 13, 2003 1:37:42 | He's a member of these boards so I'd delete the above if I were you... well... if I were you and wanted to stick around and be able to post to these boards And yeah, without the entire index and the key, it's pretty useless info I must agree. But it is a good index. I don't care who it's by or what the person did, I'm going to keep using it because it's good. |
#8zombiegleemaxNov 13, 2003 4:52:08 | I just wish I knew how to get hold of it, it looks mighty useful to me. |
#9grodogNov 13, 2003 11:57:03 | I don't post the key every time because the key is generally 2-10 times as large as the excerpt that I'm posting. That said, I'd be happy to clarify any questions about acronmys that folks have, too. Jason and I have talked about hosting the index on my web site; I'll ping him again on that, since there's a renewed interest in the work :D |
#10zombiegleemaxNov 13, 2003 20:00:22 | Originally posted by grodog That's what you said in another thread two weeks ago! Get a move on! :D |
#11grodogNov 13, 2003 21:13:39 | LOL. Sure Delg :D edit: Hmmm, looks like Jason's got it online at Harvester's Heroes at http://www.harvestersheroes.com/uploads\jasonzavoda\GreyhawkNPC2003.zip Enjoy! |
#12zombiegleemaxNov 13, 2003 21:31:47 | Originally posted by grodog No, we've been through this before. Rich posted the same link. That's the NPC index, not the Encyclopedia Greyhawkania. |
#13grodogNov 14, 2003 1:46:47 | Doh! OK, well I wrote to Jason about it again anyway, so we'll have an answer from him soon. |
