Actually I'm not sure that there is much in the way of offical history for Pelor (or if there is, I'd like to know about it!).

There's brief write-ups of him in the 83 World of Greyhawk Boxed set (the glossography), From the Ashes (and a 2nd ed. speciality priesthood too), and the Living Greyhawk Gazeteer.

Other than that - he's a major god originally of Flannae origin it seems, who was adopted by the Oerids (and Suel to an extent)who overran the Flanaess.

Gary Holian's done some stuff where he's decribed Pelor as having an alternate name among the ancient Oeridians - Solan, from whence comes the "Sol" in Solnor, the Orb of Sol (mentioned in his LGJ article on the Death Knights) and presumably, the Sol/Sun of Aerdy motif on the banner of the Great Kingdom and some of her splinter states (such as Almor of old, Nyrond, Ratik, the UK of Ahlissa etc).

Hope this is of help

This is a difficult question to answer in a forum format. Technically, you may device any tale desrcibing the Sun God's story you feel is consonant with your private, personal campaign setting. But, if you are looking for a starting point, somewhere to at least begin, I would very seriously pore through the Greytalk Archives at Canonfire!.com

You will find many things such as THIS. Maybe that's all you need. If so, cool. If not, search those archives, man.

However, detailing a campaign too much is an issue I think best avoided sometimes. Part of the mystery that draws us to the mythical, fantasy places is the unknown. Indirect references to the background and the past nurture an interest and curiosity that would not develop if every detail is explained. So not knowing everything is good, IMO.

Anyway, good luck. And have fun in your Greyhawk campaign. I hope we were helpful.
