#1nightdruidNov 21, 2003 12:56:51 | Hey guys, this is just to satisfy my own curiosity (not to mention my enormous ego ;) ), but I'm a little bit curious to know how people use material I write (of which there is a fair amount) in their games. No right or wrong answers, this is just me asking what material gets used and how its used. Might help me write better articles! :D To help, I'll add a brief list of some of the things I've written, most of which is available at beyond the moons: Lionheart (Elf HQ) Gamero (scro HQ) Twilitespace (sphere) Banesun (sphere) Tyrspace (sphere) The Spelljammer Transit Plane The One True Helm (artifact) Ecology of the Helm Sunflow Republic (empire) Ogre Mammoth/Goblin Porcupine (ecology-type articles) etc. etc. |

The IEN has been built for massive fleet to fleet or army to army combat, but they can be infiltrated by a small group. I plan on using your documents on Lionheart when (and if) the party decides to infiltrate Lionheart and take out the Grand Admiral. It should prove to be an interesting and fairly difficult adventure. |
#3nightdruidNov 27, 2003 7:06:56 | Hmmm, that seems to be a growing theme... Maybe I should have beefed up Lionheart's defenses and NPCs!! ;) |
#4zombiegleemaxNov 27, 2003 14:50:52 | I already have. Getting into Lionheart is the easy part, getting out alive, now that's difficult. I made the admiral a Lv 20 rogue with just about any magical item one could wish for plus three artifacts including your lions heart, the staff of celestian, and the ark flame sword. I made the sword a dancing weapon so that it could flank whoever the admiral fought and the admiral can get sneak attack with the staff. Add that with spell resistance, spell turning, a 40 plus AC, fully fortified armor, and plenty of guards and the dragons and I wonder if the battle will be too difficult. I think you did just fine with your description of lionheart. I would be happy if you could provide more info on the IEN as I have had to make up a lot of stuff myself. Maybe you've written some stuff that I havn't seen yet. |
#5nightdruidNov 29, 2003 10:49:56 | Thanks for the kind words Sounds like you're going to have a blast with it, though the number of dragons (7 in all, IIRC) might prove an interesting challenge :D Actually, I do have quite a bit of material that has never been posted. I really should clean out my hard drive and post that stuff, some of which includes material about the Elven Fleet as well :D |
#6zombiegleemaxDec 01, 2003 14:00:33 | YAY! Its so nice that everyone is starting to hate IEN. I mean seriously what a bunch a megalomaniacal arrogant freaks. Well they are elves so I guess its only natural. Concerning the original post of the thread though, Is there a place where you have all these things stored, cause I for the life of me cannot find them anywhere. |
