#1GrummoreNov 25, 2003 16:53:36 | Sooo, anything new? :D What about a new update of what's coming up on athas.org page? The emissary? Something else? Tell us what's going on next? Give us some power to create and help you! Muhahahaha ! I know you like this :invasion: |
#2jon_oracle_of_athasNov 25, 2003 18:53:31 | Bah. Go away. |
#3zombiegleemaxNov 26, 2003 1:30:53 | If we could, we would. However, I've learned that most of us are under the sway of a very high level compulsion or thrall effect and are not able to leave these boards for fear of serious reprocutions. I'm betting it was Gab myself, the little gremlin icon is just a cover up as to his true nature. |
#4jon_oracle_of_athasNov 26, 2003 3:34:56 | It's the damn shrine I tell you. There's something funny going on at that shrine... |
#5GrummoreNov 27, 2003 21:00:27 | I think I killed Flip... :headexplo With this last thread Flip... Where are you? |
#6jon_oracle_of_athasNov 28, 2003 3:43:00 | The Death of Corn spell got him... if not it, the Fiendish Dire Turkey choked him to death. |
#7zombiegleemaxNov 28, 2003 5:05:33 | Dire Turkey! Must make up stats and toss it at unsuspecting party . . . (hmmm, mental note to keep mop and bucket handy for I'm sure tossing a dire turkey at any kind of party, unuspecting or otherwise, is sure to make a large mess). |
#8zombiegleemaxNov 28, 2003 8:20:04 | Well, since we're all invited to bother Flip, here I come with my piece of contribution. Btw, my post is directed to all Athas.org staff, so nobody will complain about one being prefered... hehehe 1. I would send it as a e-mail to errata at athas.org but I didn't know if it was really an errata, pardon me if this matter was already discussed somewhere else.. (no lightning bolts Jon...) 2. On page 34, the following weapons are stated as ranged, but there's no range defined at Table 6-4: Athasian Weapons: alhulak, Fixed Crusher, Datchi Club, Tkaesali. (although I've seen that the ranges were defined at each one's descriptions, shouldn't they be shown on Table 6-4 too?) 3. Another, why are the Crusher and the Datchi club considered melee weapons if its stated at their description that you cannot use then against an adjacent foe? 4. Shouldn't the throwing sap be considered a ranged instead of a melee weapon?? 5. How come that someone with two alaks joined by a rope 5 foot long (the cahulak description) can strike an opponent 10 foot away... is this a rubber rope?(pag. 35) |
#9GrummoreNov 28, 2003 13:01:10 | Fabricio, the problem with your post is... well... It's because it is constructive! :D When do you think Flip will appear here, to flip me on the good side? I am probably on the darkside right now, with my bothering light saber! |
#10GrummoreNov 28, 2003 13:01:16 | Argl! |

You can still send. I'm actulaly able to answer these things, even if it's not strictly speaking errata ... even confusion can lead to corrections ... 2. On page 34, the following weapons are stated as ranged, but there's no range defined at Table 6-4: Athasian Weapons: alhulak, Fixed Crusher, Datchi Club, Tkaesali. (although I've seen that the ranges were defined at each one's descriptions, shouldn't they be shown on Table 6-4 too?) No, they're stated as reach. Reach weapons are not ranged weapons. The Range Increment field is for things like bows, and melee weapons you can throw. Range Increment means: Every $increment feet, you subtract 2 from the attack roll. 3. Another, why are the Crusher and the Datchi club considered melee weapons if its stated at their description that you cannot use then against an adjacent foe? Same reason you can't use a longspear against an adjacent foe. "Normal" (that is, stiff) reach weapons can only be used against enemies a certain distance away. Once you close, you've either got to drop the longspear and use a shorter weapon, or back away. 4. Shouldn't the throwing sap be considered a ranged instead of a melee weapon?? You let go of ranged weapons. The throwing sap is really a big bag on the end of a rope that you swing around. 5. How come that someone with two alaks joined by a rope 5 foot long (the cahulak description) can strike an opponent 10 foot away... is this a rubber rope?(pag. 35) This is probably a valid point ... a few of our rope lengths are probably too short. Throwing sap suffers from the same issue. |
#12zombiegleemaxNov 28, 2003 17:42:51 | Well... thank you anyway.. so after all it just a big misunderstanding?? Except the throwing sap... :D , yes! One score to me!!! |
#13nytcrawlrDec 01, 2003 14:23:10 | Those damn, silly dire turkeys, always making a mess and taking out the party. Pretty tasty though. So are silly frogs, muwhahahaha. |
#14zombiegleemaxDec 01, 2003 15:55:11 | Silly Frogs . . . taste like chicken! Your family will never know you switched! Failed campaign slogan. |
