Hey all. I'm new to the forums, but I have a bunch of Ravenloft questions, so I'll just throw them out here and see who bites.

1) Are the Ravenloft Gazetteer IV, and any subsequent gazetteers, written to be 3E or 3.5 compatible? I'll probably pick them up either way, but it'd be nice to know beforehand.

2) Is there a list anywhere of Ravenloft CLs applied to the Player's Handbook equipment list? If so, where can I find it?

3) Can anyone provide me with some info on Inza Kulchevich? I don't neccesarily need stats, although those would be fantastic, but at least some description of her Darklord powers and her capacity to affect her domain would be very helpful. On a similar note, does anyone know if Soth has been converted in the 3E version of Dragonlance? If he hasn't, has anyone else thought to do so?

That's it for me, for now anyway. Thanks folks!

1) I assume gaz 4 will be 3.5 compatible. I know that Gaz 1&2 were in 3.0 stats. I think Gaz 3 was as well but don't remember for sure. Its not a big deal to do the (IMO very minor) conversion into 3.5. Not that I need hard stats for Stradh or Azzalin on an everyday basis...
2) I'm not sure. Was something like this in the Van Richten Arsenal?
3) Inza is a vistani who betrayed her mother (raunie to the Sithican tribe known as the wanderers) to Malochio's thugs. I don't really remember if she did it out of jealousy or a desire for power. Some else who has read Specter of the Balck Rose in the last couple of years chime in here. At the time of Soth's departure she fell into a rifts of blackness and is presumably some kind of uber undead shadow type creature now (we've never seen stats for her). Post Soth she is the Darklord of Sithicus.

There was a web enhancement in the Kargatane site. Las, I don't have it here. Does anybody have it?

Stats for Inza will be in the upcoming Gaz IV, if the authors follow the pattern they have been for the last few Gazes.

I'm guessing that she's going to become a Shadow Creature...probably with control over Shadows (the undead ones) and some other nifty powers. Her curse will probably deal either with the remaining Wanderers (who've picked up a Stone Giant nemesis of hers) or with her abilities to leave the chasm around Nedragaard Keep.

Official stats for Soth will be found in the upcoming War of the Lance Sourcebook by Sovereign Press (headed by Margaret Weis).

There have been a few fan interpretations of Soth going around...some very high-powered (over 20th level) and some seeing him as slightly lower level (usually around 16th level).
Personally, I haven't found one that fits my connotations of Soth, simply because I don't think that the Blackguard PrC fits his description well....I can't ever see Soth using a sneak attack or receiving divine spells from any source, aside from his own death knight abilities.

Is there any way I could pick that equipment CL list from one of you then?

There were strong hints that Inza's father was in fact Duke Gundar, which would make her a dhampir prior to her death. Since the remaining Wanderers have picked up a shaft of wood from her mom's broken cudgel as a designer wooden stake, I'm leaning toward the theory that she has now turned into something vampiric.

I agree that she's probably been given power over shadows as well, though, especially Salt Shadows.

I don't have it here with me, but I'll try not to forget and then email it to you. That will be possible only after Monday, though. :-(

I must have missed this. Where was this suggested?

I seem to remember it written (though I can't check on this right now) that Inza's father was one of the Wanderers, and that he had been killed some time before she was born, which, of course, was the night Duke Gundar was assassinated.

Here's a link to the original discussion on the RL list.

Thanks kindly, Awakenings.

I don't think I like the idea of Inza being of Gundar's blood though. It smacks far too much of Gabrielle Aderre and Vlad Drakov, and is too convenient an answer as to why Inza would be evil. She was a spoiled brat with a mean streak, and that will take you farther into the heart of darkness than just having a murdering bastard as a father.

That said, the fact that the Wanderers plan to plant a stake in Inza is more to rupture her loveless, black and traitorous heart, not because she may or may not be a vampire.

Well, I guess we'll find out the details when Gaz 4 hits the stands.

Thanks again.
