Nov 28, 2003 9:18:34 Does this place have a physical location on Krynn or can you only use portals to get there? I know it's built on the "timestream" or something like that and everything I've read seems to indicate that there is actually no physical location for it...but I'm not really sure.
So, does anyone know...and is this information in print anywhere? Thanks.

Nov 28, 2003 13:32:28 The anvil of time is located in the City of Lost Names, up in northern solamnia. it was originally on an island, until i suggested to tracy that it would be better to use a place already on the map =)

The Anvil of Time itself is not actually located on the City of Lost Names; the Temple of Time in that locale is the default value for the Anvil's Crystal Globe Teleporter but there is no physical gateway between the Temple of Time and the Anvil; in fact, the maps showing the Anvil display no outer entrance, exterior windows nor any other similar (physical) fixtures.

P.S- Ok, I checked out the Tobril listed and I wasn't able to find anything about the location of the Anvil (or its entry point) but some other great info...thanks! Anyway, could you give me a page number of some product that lists the Anvil of Time as having an entry point in the city of lost names, etc? Thanks again.

That article on the Tobril does actually mention the location of the Anvil (in the River of Time). Apart from that, the only product that mentions the Anvil of Time is the actual adventure which you can find on Dungeon Magazine #86 (or at the end of a recent anthology, the name of which escapes me at the moment). In the adventure, in the Crystal Globe Teleporter section it says the teleporter defaults to 111-111-111 which are the "teleport coordinates" of the Temple of Time inside the City of Lost Names.
