My question is this... has there been any other advanced beings for clerics in the normal DS story line that I missed? Just curious. Also there is some other classes that I thought was interesting for wizards that which to become specialized in other sources of energy... My favorite was the shadow mage... Where they sacrafice a hand sizedportion of their body to a different plane and its replaced by shadow mass and has like a permenent chill touch on it etc. There was some nice twists in these class specializations. But have they been used at all in the DS novels or story line? Avatar |

Sadira of Tyre was imbued with special sun magic at the shadow controlled pristine tower. What ended up happening was her skin turned ebony black during the day and she breathed icy cold clouded breath which was essentially from the black. She was also able to manipulate the black to some extent (summon shadow ppl, pull ppl from the black if they were just pulled in). As for clerics....no mention of them but its only fitting that the servants of the elements would be able to take upon their form once they mastered their disciplines. |

This metmorphasis when the character reaches highest level will only cover 50% of the body. so this has to be slightly different from sadira. Avatar |

But it does lay the basis for a solid connection between the black and sorcery. A lot of material in the rule books isnt played out in any of the stories, which is fine by me I think that ought to be left to the players (esp in the case of the prism pentad...i still run my campaigns in the Age of SK's and just take a few odds and ends from the Age of Heroes). |

There were three variant types of Wizards (technically 4, but Sun Wizard is a unique variation with only 1 person who is it): Necromancer (called Necromant by.... I think it was Nytcrawlr, but I could be mistaken, I like this word better myself) - which drew power from The Gray. Shadow Mage - which drew power from The Black. Cerulean Mage - which drew power from the Cerulean Storm. You are talking about the Shadow Mage, it is described in Preservers & Defilers. |

And it dosen't mention anything in that direction. Hope it explains stuff to you [Edit] Corrected ''my comuter's spleling errnors '' :D |
