It seem the only unique spells to Dragonlance where Time Heal, Timereaver, Kiss of Night’s Guardian, and Mindspin. The problem with these spells is that they where either too high-level or had no practical use for player characters. So far I love all the new spells, although several are just copies of existing spells with their element descriptor change (Otyugh Swarm, Spark Shield, Storm Wall). However there is one spell I feel is way underpowered, Electrical Storm. For a 7th Level spell it deals very little damage, with a Fort save for half on top of that, a short duration, and a very small area of affect for it’s level. It doesn’t seem balance at all. I was thinking of maybe raising the damage to 10d6 with a Fort save or 5d6 without the save and a larger area of affect. The duration I can deal with since Feats can handle this. Take a look at the spell and compare it to the 4th Level Wall of Fire and you’ll find a better 4th Level spell. What do you guys think? |

Wall of fire will not affect flying things (dazed flying creatures are in a lot of trouble). It deals more damage, and electrical damage rather than fire, which will on average affect more things. Wall of fire can also be cancelled by cold damage. OK, that's the defence, although it's not that great. Electrical Storm is not a 7th level spell, but it's still better than wall of fire. Maybe drop it to 6th. |
