After all, the shear number of NPCs that must have been cut from GAZ IV would probably boggle the mind. So, if all you good people could take a moment and voice your support (and possibly the hope for back issues for older products), thus giving the Dark Duo something that they can show to those that make those decisions. Heck, even suggest what you would like to see for web enhancements of old products. So... I would like to see Ravenloft Web Enhancements. Here are my suggestions for ones for older products. Gaz 2 - Not sure Gaz 3 - Wescote family history, stats for Louise Renier (her plans... how she survived Scholar of Decay, and her punishment from that.) Gaz 4 - Merciful god.... The House of Lament, Lady Adilene, Ganelon, Nathon Timothy, any of the other characters that could have been added. Van Richten's Guide to the Walking Dead - More zombies... possibly a small adventure or even a description from the Twins on Zombie Fog and its effects. |

#3zombiegleemaxDec 20, 2003 21:12:55 | On the old Kargatane site there had been a web enhancement for Gaz1 in the form of interview excerpts S. had made with random citizens of the domains in there-- bits of local legend, descriptions of border closures, and suchlike. I don't know if any of the later Gazetteer writers had the opportunity to do such little vignettes but they were really flavorful and fun to read. A Gaz4 enhancement might do well to be actual game material that just got squeezed out, much as how the VRA enhancement on the Kargatane site had been equipment that didn't make the final cut... |

Some of the bigger NPC's we've seen in the past that did not get write-up's (or in the case of a few more than a line or two of cameo mention) in Gaz IV include: *Nathan Timothy *Lady Adeline *Adonk Szerieza (okay, in fairness, hes never really been more than a line or two in any of his apperances ) *Matton *The Midnight Slasher *Ganelon *The House of Lament Excepting Lady Adeline - because she is mentioned throughout the Valachan section - I avoided "Children of the..." characters like Nobriskov and Meeka. I realize these NPCs were cut due to space - though I still would've thought still-existing former Darklords would've had some priority over yet another tavern - but as web-extensions or characters in an NPC book like "Prisoners of the Dark Powers" (sorry - no great names spring to mind at the moment) we'd love to see them. I admit it's not hard in some cases to convert from 2nd Edition but characters change over the years and updated canon and stats on them is apparently being sorely missed by at least a few Ravenloft fans. |

#6house_of_ill_lamentDec 21, 2003 9:59:01 | Thanks Charney. Been so long since I read the book I didn't remember that - and, frankly, even though he's head of the Gundarakite rebellion I tend to think of him as an Invidia character. Still, Gaz. IV would've been the optimal time (barring the space considerations due to squeezing in five nations) to finally give the head Gundarakite his due. 'Course I tend to be an optimist on canon stats - I've been waiting since the day the Black Box came out for Ladislav Mircea, Jack Karn (does he still exist?), and Duke Gundar. |
