#1sweetmeatsDec 22, 2003 10:30:13 | I noticed that over on the EN World site, that they have the DL DM's Screen up on their online ordering pages. Is it out or are they just pre-emptive? |
#2zombiegleemaxDec 22, 2003 10:32:29 | I know you can order it from Weis' website. Not sure about elsewhere. |
#3omoteDec 22, 2003 20:05:54 | The various Game Company Distributers don't seem to have them yet either. That means it will probably be another week or so at least. Jamie Chambers said over at dragonlancec.om that they have them in their office, so that means the distributers will be getting them soom. He said that about a week ago. ............................Omote |
#4darthsylverDec 22, 2003 20:11:45 | I got mine today. Muwahahahahahahaha. :D :D |

#7darthsylverDec 23, 2003 10:36:49 | Someone will tell me if I am doing something Illegal. Krynn and Ansalon specific stuff - A moon tracking chart, the leech magic item chart, Decreasing magic in the fifth age, hours of the day, days of the week, and months of the year. Experience and treasure stuff - Xp awards by CR for combat, noncombat awards, mission goals, roleplaying awards, treasure values by encounter level, coinage (currency value) of Ansalon. Aerial combat stuff - Movement & speed status, speed status and maneuvers, chase scale, collision direction, altitude at takeoff, collision damage, maneuverabilty, and flying check modifiers. And of course the cover has a red dragon with a red robe(?) female carrying a dragonorb pointing at solace (as if to attack it?) with crystalmir lake in the background. Oh yeah a blue, black, green and white dragon (1 of each) in background on the far right heading towards solace. |
#8talinthasDec 23, 2003 11:40:42 | its only illegal if you basically do a direct copy from the material. summarizing is ok, and for something like this that everyone wants and no one has, is even encouraged =) |
#9sweetmeatsDec 23, 2003 13:00:03 | So, the missing height/weight charts and mystic/noble starting cash aren't in there? |
#10kipper_snifferdoo_02Dec 23, 2003 13:23:07 | Originally posted by SweetMeats I think he was just describing the actual screen. There is a booklet that also comes with it as well that should have that stuff and more. |
#11darthsylverDec 23, 2003 15:11:37 | Yeah forgot to mention the booklet sorry. By the way, it's signed by Margaret Weis. Please forgive an old man. The booklet has 31 pages of information. Haven't fully read it. (Currently going through all the DL modules and attempting, key word, to convert all NPCs into 3.5E). Height\Weight, Aging effects, and Starting ages are on page 31. Random starting steel is on page 17. For the Mariner, Mystic, and Noble. 15 pages of new NPCs. As well as reprinting the Mystic, Mariner, and Noble classes. It also goes on to give a general summary of the creatures known to be native to krynn, as well as which are senen rarely. It has a new template. The "Axiomatic" creature. Sorta like a lawful creature linked to other Axiomatic creatures (just a quick glance mind you). 9 new weapons popular on krynn to include "The all mighty and powerful Hoopak of dragon Slaying," just kidding. They only have a regular hoopak (plus 8 other standard weapons). And we cannot forget the 4 pages of Dragon NPCs. Overall some very good information (even if some of it should have been in the DLCS). |
#12wolffenjugend_dupDec 23, 2003 21:47:08 | So... does the hoopak do 1d6 or 1d4??? |
#13darthsylverDec 23, 2003 21:50:10 | Not sure if I can do this but: it acts as a quarterstaff, a shortspear, and a sling for small sized creatures. So you would have to check the PHB to get the right damage. |
#14sweetmeatsDec 24, 2003 6:45:24 | Cool. Thanx for that. The Axiomatic template, is it the same one that appears in the Manual of the Planes? |
#15zombiegleemaxDec 24, 2003 8:39:09 | Originally posted by darthsylver Just a quick clarification, the booklet does not reprint the new core classes. Rather, it gives Dungeon Master's Guide-style NPC summaries from levels 1-20. It's a great tool for DMs to quickly come up with NPCs when they don't have time to create them from scratch. Happy Holidays! Jamie Chambers Sovereign Press, Inc. |
#16wolffenjugend_dupDec 24, 2003 10:38:05 | Originally posted by darthsylver Thanks. I figured it didn't change from the Kencylopedia. |

Sorry about that. As I said, got lots of new stuff and haven't been able to give them all their proper attention. Sorry folks. As far as the Axiomatic Template, it is close to the one in Manual of the Planes but slightly different. |
#18cam_banksDec 24, 2003 21:53:07 | Originally posted by darthsylver It's the one from the Manual of the Planes, but updated to 3.5. Cheers, Cam |
#19sweetmeatsDec 25, 2003 4:28:08 | I ordered my screen yesturday, so fingers crossed it should get here just after New Years. |
