#1Charles_PhippsDec 23, 2003 19:05:06 | I was curious if anyone thought it would be a good idea to have the gods of Magic offer to convert the levels of sorcerer the sorcerers in Krynn have to regular "High Sorcery levels" I was thinking that the White Robe in our campaign could go on a quest to discover the means of doing so (obviously set up by the gods of magic for him to suceed and win prestige for himself) maybe accompanied by his illustrious Red and Black Robe Archwizard companions to bring their own means of doing so to the people. That way suddenly all the sorcerers whom want to be High Mages can in fact be so but perhaps this is a one time decision or only there for a limited duration. |
#2zombiegleemaxDec 23, 2003 19:19:36 | p 97 of the DLCS describes 'Changing Focus', for the transition from wizardry to sorcery and clerical to mystical. I allow in my campaign that those adventuring post WoS can have had a kind of reverse epiphany, changing from sorcerer to wizard, and from mystic to cleric (assuming the god they are converting to grants the domain they had as a mystic). |
#3zombiegleemaxDec 23, 2003 21:01:30 | Since sorc.s are renegades, and you have to deal with Tower bureaucracy in order to become a WoHS, I think the Whites might welcome them in, and the Reds if the sorc.s behave themselves, but I think evil sorc.s might get a raw deal, especially if they would become really powerful, and therefore a threat. Just a thought. |
#4zombiegleemaxDec 26, 2003 21:01:00 | No need to find a way to convret to High Sorcery, the rules are there already(the reverse epiphany thing), and there's a precedent(Dalamar, he was a sorcerer and now shows up as a wizard in the AoM, and also Jenna, it doesn't give her stats in the AoM as far as I know, but it says that she became the head of the Red Robes, and she was a Sorcerer as well). |
