I don't knw if anyone frequenting these boards is both hardcore enough of a Planescape fan and a long-time Dragon Mag subscriber, but does anyone know which #s of Dragon Mags since 3e began have Planescape material? When I get my subscriptions to Dungeon and Dragon, I plan on splurging for back issues, but I want to know which ones I'd want.

#287, "Fractious Factions", comes to mind, as well as the new #315.

Are those seriously the only two since 3e? *shakes head* I remember back in 2e, when my buddy had picked up #200 and got a subscription for two years. There was Planescape-a-plenty! *shakes head* Where has all the Planar fun gone?

I'm sorry, I can't remember any more off the top of my head. There may well be one or two more, but not many ...

The same places as Darksun and Birthright. As a non-supported setting I hardly expect the company to dedicate space to something they aren't going to be making money on, no matter how much we might like the setting. This is ultimately a business after all.

Suppose so. Darksun...now that had halflings I could work with.

Those are indeed the only two issues to contain Planescape material. My article, "Fractious Factions," made it in as a prelude to the 3E Manual of the Planes, and the recent article was part of the D&D retrospective. I proposed more Planescape goodness (specifically the other faction prestige classes) awhile back when Jesse Decker was the editor, but he said the magazine wanted to support new material and not older settings (my article was actually approved and published by Dave Gross...issue #287 was his last issue). Of course, Chris Thomasson took over from Jesse, and now Matt Sernett is the editor. With the surge in praise for the latest issue, maybe he'll be more amenable to updating the older campaign settings through articles.

I know I sent Scale Mail an eMail the minute I finished cover-to-covering #315.
