This is apology is a bit late in coming but I just read Cam’s private message in regards to my concerns with the Bestiary of Krynn supplement.

My concerns with fan base rules are base mostly out of bad experiences in the past that have left a bad after taste. However, both Andre and Cam have many years of experience with Dragonlance and their work will only enhance the setting.

I should have realized that anything they do will be review by Sovereign Press for quality assurance. Therefore, I’m sure we will be getting an excellent book with unique critters and resurrected classics for DL3e.

And lastly, it’s unfair to say that this book is a “fan-base” work color by bias opinions. Since both of you have been commission by SP you have enter into the realm of true professionalism. Therefore, whether the book succeeds or fails to meet fan expectations, it remains a valid “official” DL work.

I apologize for doubting your skills and the quality of the book.

Yeah especially since he's cursed. Or is the curse. Can never tell. Even asked him once and even he wasn't sure.

I think it's awfully big of the good Baron to offer his apologies. Good show.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm anxious to get the Bestiary of Krynn!

I'd like to thank you for being able to stand up and apologize.

That being said, I think everyone is perfectly within their rights to speculate about upcoming products (as opposed to automaticaly passing judgment) and the fact that you were concerned about how the Bestiary will turn out only reflects well on your love and concern for this setting and speaks volumes for your own personal investment and involvement with Dragonlance. It was just that the delivery of that concern was a bit...overwhelming. ;)

However, as said before, we both did a lot of work on this book, and hope that you and everyone else thoroughly enjoys it!

Thanks again!

Thank you for accepting my apology.

Now, when can we expect to see a teaser of the book… say like a table of contents..?

That, unfortunately, is beyond our control.

Revised Conspiracy #2: Cam, Andre, and Dragonhelm are the same person...:P

Frankly, to put it in kind words, fanwork does scare me a little bit. Look at the D&D movie, for example. The director was a fan of the game, but fandom should not come before experience. I have no doubt in my mind that Cam and Andre are versed well in both D&D and DL.

Besides, one good thing about these two being fans and regulars among the board is that we can get clarifications on rulings and all that fun stuff.

Keep up the good work Cam/Andre/...other people that may be among the many that this person has absorbed.

Read my signature for the most "flattering" review Ebert could give that pile of crap masquerading as a movie.

And then look at the Lord of the Rings movies. ;)

Solomon had *zero* experience at movie making. Still does, imo, since the D&D movie is the only movie he's ever worked on.

Margaret once said that sending the D&D movie overseas would be "tantamount to a declaration of war".

Peter Jackson, Pippa Boyens and Fran Walsh are all New Zealanders. I'm a New Zealander. Coincidence? Well, yes, but we Kiwis do have a can-do attitude towards things and tend to be stick in the muds when it comes to doing things right.

That reminds me, Cam. I noticed your buddy is on the cast commentary for TTT Extended Edition. That's pretty cool.

Craig...I think I remember when she said that. The funny thing is though...that because it apparently did well over seas (and in DVD sales) they will be making a sequal (or that's the rumor anyway).

Which I think would be alright with a real director...and maybe do some forced prespective with Lee...just having him squat down wasn't good enough.
