Where is Technoelement?

Jan 15, 2004 14:52:06 What happened to technoelement2020 and his not-so-esteemed fan-based Greyhawk Web site? Remember him, from last July? LOL Those were Greyhawkers at their best and most supportive. That's when I first encountered these boards after a ten-year absence from the RPG scene all together.

Anyway, how did his project turn out? Does anyone know? I hope he got something going, after all of the acrimony surrounding his "newbie Web site."

Jan 15, 2004 15:51:27 Actually, if you search for techno's posts, you'll find a few in reference to having some computer issues. Obviously, without a comp, one is a little stunted in the web site developement area.

Personally, I'm still willing to give a hand to anyone who wants to start a project and needs help. Most of my energy is geared towards working on material for the Dark Sun setting, but I'm still game for going back to my Greyhawk roots, especially to give a hand where others deemed not to.

Jan 16, 2004 21:45:09 I think Technoelement found out just how difficult it is to run a site and might have gotten a little gun-shy. I sent him two articles and heard from him but once. I'm sure Techno is still with us but under a different alias. Afterall it's kind of hard to tell everyone that you decided to drop something after making a big thing about it.

Techno if your still out there good luck and let us know if you decided to trash your idea or not.

Jan 16, 2004 22:21:26 Yes, Techno did trash the idea, I sent him an e-mail a few months ago asking if he wanted help and he told me plans just didn't work out. Too bad, we could always use more Greyhawk on the web. Anyways, if anyone else or if Techno wants to try again I'll lend some content to them. I don't have much but it's a start.

Jan 16, 2004 23:12:30 Well, that's too bad he threw in the towel. A Web site is a challenge - especially if you are trying to grab some Greyhawk audience.

Oh well. Maybe he'll come back to the WotC forums and throw iedae around with us again.
