While I haven gamed across the Planes for some time, I have only recently started to DM in them. To this effect I have been trying to collect useful information for a Sigil orientated campaign that would eventually lead the PC’s to exploring many other planar locations. It is all so interesting, especially the adventures.

I was wondering what Planescape adventures that you would recommend that I have a look at. I currently own Tales form the Infinite Staircase and Faction War (this should be obvious from some of my previous posts and my signature).

What are your favorite planar adventures?:D

The Eternal Boundary and Harbinger House are my most favorite Planescape adventures, and they also detail good chunks of Sigil; this makes them valuable for further play in the City of Doors. I really enjoy Tales from the Infinite Staircase as well, but it doesn't deal with Sigil.

My favorite, hands down: Dead Gods.

Get it if you can!

Thanks.

What adventures would you suggest once the PC have advanced a few levels and i would like to send them planewalking?

For planewalking, I'd recommend Tales from the Infinite Staircase once again. If you string all the short adventures together and use the metaplot, you can start in Sigil and end up visiting Ysgard, Arcadia, the Elemental Plane of Air, the Outlands, Baator, Limbo, a demiplane in the Ethereal, and the Astral Plane. Tack on the Forgotten Realms adventure For Duty & Deity (which fits on the end quite nicely), and you can visit the Abyss as well.

Harbinger House also takes you on a tour of the Outlands, visiting some of the gatetowns. This lets you give your players a taste of the flavor of the planes without actually going through the planehopping.

Yes, as I mentioned, you can tack it onto the end of the Tales from the Infinite Staircase adventures.

Modron March and then Dead Gods. If you're looking for a tour of the outer planes then Modron March is the way to go, and then Dead Gods just feels necessary after doing that.

once you get things established and want to shake some things up: Faction War. Its a relatively lowlevel epic advnture and the only one of those published that actually follows all three rules of PS.
but you might want to wait on it until your characters have gotten to know their factions and the setting a bit more.
in terms of in Sigil games. the eternal boundry, harbinger house and faction war are the only three that are set primarily there.

I was going to use Faction War (it is one of the two PS adventures that i currently have). I was thinking of starting the campaign before FW and then playing through it into the post FW environment that Planewalker is currently developing (superbly i might add). I am a strong believer in creating a playing environment for your PC’s where things are interconnected. For instance I was going to have the binding up of tensions that happens before the Battle at the Armory slowly occur over many game sessions as well as certain characters that play a role in the adventure (Alluvius Ruskin) appearing in other game sessions.

It just adds a greater sense of depth to the game.

I'll just have to download them all from the SVGames site.
