#1jonesyJan 20, 2004 3:05:42 | Just something that confuses the hell out me and needs to be clarified: The father is called Duulket Ariakas. So Duulket is the first name and Ariakas is his last name? Or does he have an actual family name as well? So is Ariakan the son's first or last name? And if it's the first, would his name then be Ariakan Ariakas? Or does he even have/use a last name? Wtf? :D |
#2zombiegleemaxJan 20, 2004 4:28:17 | Maybe Duulket's dad was named Ariak and the "as" is the male suffix therefore Ariakan would be Ariakan Duulketas. Just an idea. |
#3cam_banksJan 20, 2004 6:22:40 | Doug Niles is responsible for providing Ariakas with a first name in Emperor of Ansalon. Most other sources, however, assume that Ariakas did not have a first name, and thus Ariakan is named after his father. Cheers, Cam |

#5brimstoneJan 20, 2004 10:03:45 | Originally posted by kendernbabe It is possible for something to be canon, but have mistakes. Take for instance another Douglas Niles novel where he accidentally calls it the "red moon Solinari" or was it the "white moon Lunitari?" Well...either way, he switched them up. Now, the novel should be considered canon...but does that mean we have to call the red moon "Solinari" now? Nope. |
