You may try to convert them based on old modules (Modenkainen's Fantastic Journey, Return of the Eight, Rary the Traitor) and others. Some LG or Oerth Journal's may have some fan based ideas. |
#3GreysonJan 21, 2004 12:36:21 | Regrettably, I think Jag is right. You will be harded pressed to find 3.0 or 3.5 statistics on your listed NPCs. And if Living Greyhawk has anything on the above, they are not sharing it. But don't worry. When the Greyhawk Campaign Setting comes out, they will be in there. |
#4zombiegleemaxJan 21, 2004 13:00:02 | I know The Living Greyhawk Journal #0 had the Circle of Eight. They were higher level though. Mordy was CN I believe. Try to find those. |

#6zombiegleemaxJan 26, 2004 9:07:30 | Originally posted by Kossie There aren't official stats for any of those characters save Mordenkainen (N male human Wiz27). I statted out a version of Iggwilv as a Chaotic Evil female human 35th-level conjurer/5th-level archmage. If you're interested, I'd be happy to post her up. As for the others, I know Bigby went up a level, Jallarzi inexplicably dropped down two levels, Otto dropped one level of wizard and two of cleric, and either Nystul or Drawmij went up two levels. As for Tuerny, you can stat him yourself by taking the base Nalfeshnee demon stats in the MM, and adding 17 levels of wizard on top of it. Anyway, hope that helped. |

#8MortepierreJan 26, 2004 12:20:35 | Actually, I still have the whole 3rd ed. stats and history for the Circle of Eight. It was written by Erik Mona and Gary Holian as a LG web enhancement titled Wheels within Wheels. Can't remember where I downloaded it though |
#9erik_monaJan 28, 2004 14:17:33 | Here's the Circle of Eight breakdown from LGJ #0. They only got ability scores, alignments, and levels, since third edition was still being written as Gary Holian and I finished that article, and I didn't want to take any chances. Alhamazad the Wise (LN male human Wiz19) Str 7, Dex 13, Con 10, Int 20, Wis 17, Cha 14 Bigby (N male human Wiz19) Str 9, Dex 17, Con 15, Int 21, Wis 15, Cha 12 Drawmij (N male human Wiz18) Str 7, Dex 16, Con 15, Int 22, Wis 17, Cha 9 Jallarzi Sallavarian (NG female human Wiz15) Str 10, Dex 18, Con 10, Int 19, Wis 17, Cha 17 Mordenkainen (N male human Wiz20+) Str 10, Dex 17, Con 17, Int 23, Wis 15, Cha 18 Nystul (N male human Wiz17) Str 7, Dex 10, Con 15, Int 22, Wiz 17, Cha 15 Otto (N male human Clr3--Boccob/Wiz15) Str 16, Dex 10, Con 15, Int 17, Wis 15, Cha 17 Theodain Eriason (CN male high elf Wiz17) Str 15, Dex 17, Con 13, Int 22, Wis 15, Cha 16 Warnes Starcoat (N male human Wiz20) Str 14, Dex 18, Con 16, Int 24, Wis 17, Cha 17 Note that Mordenkainen is fully statted in the Epic Level Handbook. He's a bit high level for my tastes (why is the Tarrasque such a threat, again?), but if you're looking to run an ultra-high-level Mordy, that's the reference for you. Note that all of the Circle of Eight are generalist wizards. No specialists, no sorcerers. It's part of the deal. None of the other guys you listed have official Third Edition stats of any kind. I've got a submission on Tenser that may run soon in Dungeon, but other than that, I don't anticipate anything on these guys coming out in the near future. --Erik Mona Editor-in-Chief Dungeon Magazine |
