#1zombiegleemaxFeb 08, 2004 16:09:46 | I'm currently finishing off the History of the Silt Archipelago. The only detail, so far, that is both unobvious and potentially controversial is the year of Borys's birth. I don't know of anything in the canon that fixes this but I don't know the canon that well. Was it ever stated anywhere? At the moment I have it have down as the year of King's Slumber in the 143rd King's Age. |

Perhaps it can be narrowed down to within a span of a few years but no-one has precise knowledge of his origin. This needn't be down to any mysterious reasons - there is historical uncertainty over the birthdates of any number of famous figures. |

It does not matter if it is acurate, but rather, that it is observed etc. They could have some document that states his birthdate, rather or not is authentic or not is another matter, but the poeple of the Silt Archipelago observe it none-the-less. After Athas suffered an apocalypse, which was what the Cleansing Wars where, I doubt anyone would really know or have any record of it. |

Basically I'm quite happy to go with the date I came up with with the usual Wanderer-style disclaimer - "I found this out by chatting with a three-toothed nikaal in the inn who has probably told more lies than he remembers to get honest scholars like me to subsidise his alcoholism." |
