Hamanu had trouble with the obsidian man, but was still able to (kind of) control it. Hamanu (according to Beyond the Prism Pentad) is, what? A 22nd level dragon? Dregoth's 29th. That's an order of magnitude more powerful. I'd say Dregoth would bend it over and smack it on the butt. |

Like most of the 2e artifacts, its really more a force of nature than a magic item. I would say the obsidian man would probably lose on account of its mindlessness, but not without wounding dregoth severely. Dregoth had a better chance of taking control of it than fighting it. |
