i have just confirm that Jean Rabe is making a new trilogy about Dhamon Grimwulf here is a email from her that was sent to me when i ask about the possibility of a new Dhamon series and this is what she wrote to me
Hi Nick:

As a matter of fact, Lake of Death is about Dhamon Grimwulf. Lake of
Death, or
Nalis Aren, is a lake in the Qualinesti Forest.

The book features Dhamon, Ragh the sivak draconian, and Feril, the
Kagonesti
elf from my first DL trilogy.

I'm having a lot of fun with it, and I'm in the final stages of a
rewrite. It's
supposed to come out this fall, though I don't know which month.

I'm also working on a trilogy for Tor Books. The Finest Creation, the
first in
my new fantasy world, comes out in September. I have the galleys for
that on my
desk!

Whew! Being busy is good.

Glad you like Dhamon.

Excellent.

Dhamon's stats in Age of Mortals places him at 20th character level. Perhaps he is epic-level in this new trilogy, eh?

FYI, that won't be a Trilogy though, it will be part of the Age of Mortals Series (Book 6 to be exact, as it's slated right now). It will be one book, like Dark Thane and The Lioness were.

I always liked Dhamon but I grew very dissappointed with him at the end of the first trilogy in which he appears. I was always hoping for so much more from him rather then a predictable finish.

LOL!

If you think his fate is predictable...I highly suggest you read his second trilogy, the Dhamon Saga. Unless you've already read what became of him in the AoM book by Sovereign Press...I would say his fate is highly UNpredictable.

(it is certainly unique)

That would be my fault (unless Rath has received new info that I don't have). I told him it was going to be in the Age of Mortals trilogy...but I may have forgotten to mention that that was just a guess. :D

It seems like a good fit though...Counundrum, The Lioness, Dark Thane, Prisoner of Haven, Wizard's Conclave, and Lake of Death...I think that would make a pretty decent set...even though the timeframe for each is quite different. (although I think Nalis Aren would make for a cooler title)

Anyway, that's neither here, nor there...the point is, the new Dhamon book is not the first of a new trilogy. It is just a stand alone book about him and Ragh.

Well, that's my best guess atm, too.

Yeah, it's Brim's fault, I assumed he had that on good authority, guess I was wrong. Thanks ALOT!!! HAHAHAHA

Acutally, I could have sworn I saw it on the net somewhere else, too, but I can't seem to find it again. So I'll go with...Brim screwed it up. LOLOL

Maybe we can convince Jean to change the name of the book to Nalis Aren if we send her enough emails...

It can't hurt to at least ask if it's possible.

The city of Qualinost is now called "Nalis Aren" which translated into Common means "Lake of Death."

We just thought the elven name would be a cooler book title.

And Mucknuggle, you can find her address on her website.

I haven't read the second trilogy. I was disappointed by the first trilogy and hadn't really thought that the second sounded that interesting. I think that now I will have to pick up the first book. I am still not positive that the Dhamon character can be unpredictable but if Brimstone says its worth a look I'll trust him.

You should trust him, Dhamon is his favorite character (as well as mine) and we both highly recommend the Dhamon Trilogy. You will go through many different feelings towards Dhamon while reading these books, but in the end you will most likely love where Ms. Rabe took him. Enjoy, it's well worth the read.
