I mean with all of the encounters and all of the different reactions that the pc's can get from the various encounters in Pashin alone, How does a DM map out his KOD campaign(An adventure that appears so massive and grand.) without getting lost in it all ? ~B4Real |

(its interesting to note that the DL series is notorious for railroading its storyline, but the modules are very open for exploration). Basically, you can let your players find the story themselves by wandering into it, or you can guide them to where you want the story to go. Remember, as the DM, you are in charge of what they see, so they can only see what you wnt them to see =) In the case of KoD, just let your players explore, and when you feel they've had enough, guide them to the five dragons inn (have it appear or something), and move on with the real plot. |

I do not like to just say " Ok you see two such and such and they see you and attack you ", I usually like to have a reason for everything that occurs. So pre-rolling encounters usually helps me out alot. That way the encounters are really fleshed out. ~B4Real |
