I had an interesting idea for a planar site: The Valley of the Eternal Bloodshed.

There is a portal in Bedlam that leads to a confusing planar anomaly. Apparently, it leads through the Astral plane, and passes through the corpse of a deceased Chaotic Evil power of Time, before spitting its travellers out into a raging Blood War battlefield somewhere on Oinos. On one side is a raging Tanar'ri horde, and on the other side is a mixed force of Baatezu shock troops and Yugoloth mercenaries. The battlefield is always exactly the same condition and all the participants are in the exact same position when anyone first comes to it, but it seems that whatever happens after than is changeable, depending on how the new arrivals interact with the battle, though nothing seems to carry over between visits. Death is permanent, but the portal is two-ways and the key is the same both times: a vial of mercury. Anyone who leaves the immediate vicinity of the battle ends up in a nondescript area of Oinos, and if he should try to return to the battle, finds himself in a similar valley, though it is changed. The air is completely still and the ground is filled with about two feet of dust and ash. Also of note is one figure who usually appears somewhere in the vicinity of the portal when anyone passes through the exit. An androgenous figure with reflective metallic skin walks among the battle wearing armor--in contrast with its flawlessly pure skin--which is pitted and dull grey. The figure moves among the combatants, slaying at will with its huge broadheaded spear, and its featureless face radiates paralysis. The faceless gaze is said to be felt as a constant tingling in the back of the head when one walks through the ashes after leaving the valley. Some who have seen it have speculated that this creature controls this place and that he holds the secret to ending this planar abberation.

Very nice...:D (I'm not really sure though whether that is the type of response you want for a place like this )

I can see much in the way of potential use for this plane, although it may not be right for my campaign at the moment (but that could change). I suppose if all else fails, a wise-DM could use this location as a final point for those players who have been quite troublesome of late...

Oh now I like this, I like this alot. *grins* Planar anomolies are always fun, in whatever form you make them in. I especially like those what have a hint either subtle or overt of a mucked up timestream.

*whistles innocently about the Vale of Creeping Ashes*

I have always loved Time Travel stories, paradoxes and all that great stuff.

Good Job Rys, very creative, the plot opertunitys for such a site are tremdious. Perhaps I'll use that in the Planescape story I'm writing.
