#1angalMar 08, 2004 2:22:13 | What kind of weapon did Kaz use? I know in kaz the minotuar he had like a returning battle axe or somthing like that, but I was wonderig what is was exactly |
#2zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2004 11:22:14 | Honor's Face is his battle axe, which is later revealed to be a dragonlance, or have the powers of one. It's been almost a decade since I read it, so I'm fuzzy on the details, but I believe at the end of Kaz the Minotaur it transformed into a dragonlance. As far as game statistics, those I don't know off the top of my head |
#3zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2004 12:58:28 | Originally posted by DRAKERYM RAVENSHADOW "Honor's Face" is actually a two-handed axe (greataxe?). It was given to Kaz by a white robed elven mage, who's name escapes me at the moment. It is not a dragonlance, although he slays a dragon with it. It has severel powers. - when you look into the blade of the axe, the reflection presented here will tell you wheter the person who casts the reflection is lying or not. (honor's face). - When kaz thinks of the axe, it automatic appears in his hands. No matter if he has lost it. - It is always sharp, and vitually indestrubtible. |

So either I assumed it was a dragonlance, or I remember Kaz saying it took the form of a Dragonlance, but again It's been years since I read it |

#7jrblasingameMar 08, 2004 15:36:27 | Yeah, Dragonhelm is right. That is in Land of the Minotaurs book. I believe it can morph into whatever Kaz needs the weapon to be...notice how at the end of the same book it also transforms into an axe with blades wide enough to chop off an Ancient Red Wyrms (probably older than that though) head in one swing. |
#8valharicMar 08, 2004 15:40:37 | The reason it has similar properties of the Dragonlance is that it's made from the same material, dragonmetal, as the lances. |
#9zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2004 17:39:23 | Yes, I'll admit I had the books mixed up, when the axe morphed into the Dragonlnce, I kind of took it to mean that it was a Dragonlance all along, yet for whatever reason it "allowed" itself to remain as Honor's Face as the battle axe is Kaz's favored weapon. However if it is a magic item that can morph into anything the weilder wishes it to be including a Dragonlance (which you would think is the most powerful weapon on Krynn since the setting is named after it and all). then Honor's Face has got to be the most popular magic weapon in the hole setting. Just think, I need a +5 holy avenger/sunblade/flametongue to defeat this ungodly powerful vampiric troll. No problem I'll just have Honor's face morph into it.:D |
#10zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2004 19:08:19 | I think he meant that it can transform into the kind of weapon the weilder wants. For example, it could change to a longsword, or a dagger, but it'd either have the same abilities(ie, would always be +X, no matter what), or have equivalent abilities(like, a +1 can be sacrificed to make it flaming). |
#11zombiegleemaxMar 08, 2004 20:37:28 | Whatever happened to that Axe anyway? Likely it's kept as one of the Kazelati's most treasured artifacts in their hidden domain. So I would guess anyway. |
#12jrblasingameMar 08, 2004 21:43:32 | The last time I saw Honor's Face it was still with Kaz who was a Proxy of Kiri Jolith. I don't remember the name of the book, but it is the one that took place during the Choas War (Tide of Blood or something??). Anyways, what I ment was that Honor's Face seems to be able to morph into whatever weapon the wielder "needs" at the time. Kaz needed a DragonLance to battle the Red Dragon, it morphs into a Dragonlance. He needs something to cut the things head off with, it morphs into a HUGE axe. The thing to note is that, it doesn't seem to gain any mass. It seems to remain the same weight, even though it gains volume....nifty huh?? =) |
