What will the conclave do if you take lvls in bladsinger a class which you use a longsword, will they get mad or what?

It would be seen as 'breaking a tradition'. But since the conclave now also accepts generalist wizards, I think it wouldn't be a really big issue for most.

The elves respect the Towers of High Sorcery and abide by their laws but keep in mind that elves also follow their own traditions. For example, in the Sla-Mori it hints at elven magic empowering undead guardians of Kith-Kanan. An unmistaken use of Necromancy (for good principles, I’m sure the guardians volunteer) but a blatant violation of the White Robes (if you enforce the specialist rule). Sword and Sorcery has always come natural to the High Elves and I doubt that they will ever change in that regard. If the Tower disapproves of a Bladesinger wielding a blade it will be irrelevant to the Bladesinger and the elves, he will continue to do his duty as a White Robe and uphold his principles to defend elvenkind. And frankly, there is little the Tower can do about it.

Actually, I think that instead of undead, they were of the deathless type. See the Book of Exaulted Deeds.

There wasnt a deathless type when that was written...certainly it fits a lil better, but for now until we are told otherwise Im pretty sure they were undead.

Besides.....who needs a 'good' version of undead anyhow.;)

Agree. I’ve never been keen on the idea of any “good-aligned” undead. I can handle good aligned undead characters in novels, like Jander Sunstar, from Vampire of the Mists, but I find good align undead versions robbed from the horror of being undead. It’s has to be terrible to loose yourself to evil without a say in the the moment you raise from death after being slaying by a shadow or vampire.

Exactly my feelings Baron....In my game I have just changed the "always evil" dictate on most of the undead. I keep the mindless ones as always evil, well...becuase they have no mind....

And excellent reference btw! Jander Sunstar was the main reason I made the decisions I have about undead in my game. Easily one of the most memorable books I have ever read...as a matter of fact I think Ill grab it off the shelf yet again!

Its obviously a breach of etiquette to wield a longsword, but by no means would this be grounds for branding a particular elf warrior-wizard as a Renegade. I think a diplomatic deference to the traditions whilst on the grounds of the Tower of High Sorcery, ie not wearing your sword openly during Conclaves, would suffice to avoid any trouble.
