Mar 26, 2004 11:18:57 How about instead of concerning ourselves with the industry, we concern ourselves with promoting this game.

In that spirit, I would like this thread to write about Alternity games being played either in person or by e-mail.

I think this would be a very beneficial to the people who look at this board!!!

I would like it to be Dark Matter, but I am not fussy.

Mar 27, 2004 18:22:48 Right, well, I am currently engaged in the single most enjoyable campaign I have ever been involved in as a player (sorry, GM's vanity).

Based on the novels Schismatrix and Schismatrix Plus by Bruce Sterling, we have blundered into a pivotal role in the future of human society, although my own character is so fixated on personal vengeance and vindication he hasn't really noticed yet.

The Schismatrix is a transhuman cornucopia, dominated by the hypercapitalist cyborg Mechanists, and the bioware-obsessed neo-fascist Shapers. A smattering of elusive and enigmatic alien species complete the setup, as Humanity struggles to set a course for its collective destiny and ensure its survival in a Universe suddenly bigger and scarier than they at first suspected.

With the horrors of war behind, bereft of their home planet (an irradiated wasteland), and with the prospect of new war threatening on the horizon, it's a jumpy place, and a crucible in which the mettle of its inhabitants is tested to destruction every day.

Mar 28, 2004 7:26:42 I've recently joined a game over on the Real D&D/d20 Adventures thread. Someone started an Alternity game and so far it's been great. This is my first time playing in the Alternity Stardrive universe and so far so good, I think I've only been shot once so far.

Check it out if ya have time.
Also it's an open game so anyone can join in just PM Coyote Skyheart, he's the GM.
