#1DragonhelmApr 02, 2004 21:03:50 | One of the fun things a person can do to give a little humor to their games is to apply a TV or movie personality to a tinker gnome. Certainly, we have some great examples. Scotty from Star Trek. Certainly, the classic tinker gnome personality. This "miracle worker" is patron saint to all tinker gnomes. MacGyver - Anybody who can make a bomb out of a paper clip, some string, and a paper clip has got to be a gnome. Tim and Al - These two from Home Improvement make the perfect tinker gnome and mad gnome respectfully. I actually used these two in a game years ago, where they created a clockwork dragon. So, where do you guys get your inspiration from for tinker gnome personalities? Anyone from TV or the movies? Characters from books? Or do you get your inspiration elsewhere? And why didn't I think of this on April Fool's? Save the kodragon! :D |

#3lily_knightApr 03, 2004 6:20:24 | hmmm, not a bad topic. Personality wise, I use my friend's tutor at university. She is always late, can never work the technology, and something interesting always happens to her during the tutorial. For example: in the first lesson of the term, she picked up a bin, the handle broke and she was covered in rubbish. Kender fill the space of comic relief IMC, so gnomes usually get the sympathy vote. |
