#1zombiegleemaxApr 05, 2004 5:53:29 | Hi everybody! I was wondering which kind of information about the City of Greyhawk to use in my game. I own the old CoGH boxed set, but I don't like it at all... otoh, I like Sargent's work in From the Ashes. I'm a little reluctant to use the "official" version of the CoGH, as I know that EGG had quite a different vision of the city. What do you use in your game, and what would you advise me to do? What about using the CoGH write up from The Adventure Begins? However, I don't really like that book, either. Another question concerning the Wild Coast/Domain of GH region: where do I find information about it? Again, I like what Sargent wrote about the region, and I don't like the CoGH stuff. I thought that the original WoGH box had info about the region, but it seems I was mistaken. So, am I missing some sourcebook? Did EGG ever do a write up of the region? Thanks for your help!! |

Is there a lot of info about the region in the original modules? Also, how do they play? would it be worthwhile to update them to 3.5 and play them? |

#5ElendurApr 05, 2004 9:55:06 | Originally posted by tassander There is no info on the wild coast in the original A1-4 modules(except to say they've been ravaged by the slavers). You might check out the compilation Scource of the Slavelords which is the original modules plus some additional info. As for whether its worthwhile to play in 3.5, I am running them and having a blast. But you have to take them for what they are. I love them, but I also think B2 Keep on the Borderlands is one of the best modules ever. Tastes vary. |
