#1aikijim13Apr 05, 2004 11:14:22 | Does anyone have any kind of errata for the athas.org release of Dark Sun's Psionics? I noticed that a few (Wild Charge, Wild Reflexes) were missing and wondered if anyone had the rules to these, or made them up. I was pretty excited to see so many extra powers for the psychic warrior (I love these dudes). Another thing, can anyone recommend a cool psionics book with more powers? I run 3.0 Edition, so something that works with that would be coo. Thanks! |

For psionics, there is Mindscapes, and another good one (I don't recall the name, done by Bruce Cordell, IIRC), as well as the PsiHB, of course. The handy thing about the other books is they help correct many of the problem inherent to the PsiHB. I'd also recommend looking into 3.5e, since the Expanded Psionics Handbook will be coming out soon, which will be 3.5e. If you don't want to buy the books for 3.5e, there is the System Reference Document found on Wizard's site that has the gamesystem mechanics for it, including the gamesystem material from the Epic Level Handbook as well. |

If he wasn't so good that would make the field really poor. Anyway, he wrote Mindscapes, an accessory, and If Thoughts Could Kill, an accessory and adventure. And if you ever make the switch to v3.5 (strongly recommanded :D) there is Hyperconscious: Explorations in Psionics, a book compilation of the above books, redone for v3.5... with added stuff: PrCs, items, powers. Anyway, check out their book section, you'll be impressed. |

But I already bought all these darn 3.0 books and can't justify (with my wife of course) buying 3 more hand books at $29.99 each and another Psionics book (probably around the same price again)... I value my life, and my wife can end it... she has threatened to in the past... Au revoir! |

#7aikijim13Apr 06, 2004 9:01:47 | Yeah... about the SRD.... I'm what you'd call, uptight and stuff. So I'd have to PRINT the SRD, and that would involve paper... ... and time... So like I said, I more or less "choose" to suffer through 3.0 edition. I know 3.5 is superior, and I actually use some of the 3.5 rules for a couple of feats. And I had to make Rangers and Psychic Warriors cooler cuz I think they sucked before. That goes for Sohei's too (D&D: OE). Oh well, we finally just started our Dark Sun game, and it was the best game I've played in 5 years... even with 3.0 edition and its quirks. Thanks for the tips all, I do appreciate em... |
