So far this is the only information I have been able to find on Turrosh Mak.

Turrosh Mak
The Half-orc Despot of the Pomarj is a superb warrior who fought his way up the ranks to become the warlord of many humanoid tribes. He united his armies and conquered part of the wild coast and the Principality of Ulek, but he cannot afford to go farther without risk of seeing his command collapse from intertribal conflicts.

Does anyone know where I can find actual stats on him?

Please?

Thanks!

The second edition product "Slavers" by Sean K Reynolds has all you could ever want to know about Turrosh Mak.

Is that part of the Slave Lords Series?

nope... it was sort of a "Return to the Slave lords series" type campaing book/module) it makes the assumption that the Slave Lords series of module (A1-4) took place in the early 570's... and there is a resurgance of slave lord type activity after the greyhawk wars start winding down.

Do you know if there is a 3.0 or preferably a 3.5 conversion of it?

Thank you for the help!;)

It is much appreciated. I know my husband doesn't have 2e stuff, so I will have to track down that module.

I have a conversion for the 1e Slave Lords modules, but just need the info for Mak.

I have made one of the PC's Mak's Son & Heir, but he was stolen and hidden away by his mother, and has only recently found out who his real family is.

I'm currently doing an exhaustive write-up on Turrosh Mak, but its gonna be a few days at least 'till its done and posted. There's lots of stuff written up about the fellow, though few hardcore Greyhawk gans have been happy with what's been done (the year 2000 supplement Slavers particularly).

Anyhow, stay tuned and I'll be posting my more than complete history of the Pomarj, Turrosh Mak, and much more by the end of the week.

Cheers!

I can wait more than a couple of days if need be. I would really appreciate any help you can give.

You see, it will come down to this PC having to face off with Mak.

1. Is that they have totally different views and beliefs.

2. Mak will be expecting his son to want to take over Pomarj, but his son is a Half-Orc 10-Bard/1-Paladin currently.

So I think it will be quite intersting.

actually I have seen a very vocal few people who intensly disliked what they did to mak with the Slavers accessory... there seem to be a great many more (Both hardcore and not so hardcore fans) who either like what they did to tie Mak to earlier products (I am in this camp) or do not give a rats rear end one way or another.

I'm not sure that my write-up of Turrosh Mak would be appropriate for your campaign.

My write-up of Turrosh is for an epic-level bad guy that goes lightyears beyond the rather clumsy Wizards of the Coast "Slavers" write up.

An 11th level character would be dead in a round if Turrosh wished it, so you may wish to create something entirely on your own that fits the flavor of your campaign.

In any case, the power level of Turrosh may be irrevelent: if you wish to have a showdown then spend time developing his personality and attitude and avoid straight combat. A battle of wills may be vastly more gratifying, or captivating, than simply falling back on the combat system.

I would like to see your write up on Mak. I currently don't have anything on him, and I am mostly planning on it being a battle of wills. But also it will be a while before they face him. So the level you have him at may end up being appropriate.;)

Thanks again for your assistance.

"Sissy" Mak, I rather like that!

I'm gonna try to get the story done ASAP. Damn thing's gonna be in the vicinity of 20 pages by the time I'm done, but it should be a pretty fun non-cannon read.

Amara, if you're really needing the stats then I can email them to you: I'm not gonna post 'em here 'till I'm all done with the write up.

My email address is bdpenney@yahoo.com if you want to fire me an email I can respond (and post) to.

Thanks!

I absolutely love the written work in the Slavers. It is what I am using currently with my Slavers campaign. I use it as a guide to help me gather my many various quests from Dyvers to the Pomarj. Of course using the Slavers book requires extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas, but being an old Greyhawker I have those supplies. Even the newer DM's could use the information found for Hardby in Dragon #109 to help. Seafarers's Handbook by Fantasy Flight has been handy as well for the seaborne parts. As for Turrosh Mak I made him a F8/Assassin 9 and the players won't meet him until very late in the campaign if at all. Use what you have and make the most of it in the Pomarj, because the quests are limitless. As a side note Living Greyhawk journal #2 is good for Rhennee information, Dungeon #106 has beasts of the Scarlet Brotherhood information, The Scarlet Brotherhood book is another good one since the two countries are working closely together, Dragon #274 has Pomarji monsters, and lastly Dragon #316 has spy ideas. I could go on and on........

The only part I didn't like was when they had Mak out hunting for some food one day in the wilds with his dog and he shoots and arrow and out from the hole comes a bubblin' crude. Oil that is. Black gold. Texas tea.

They then move his family to a region of the Pomarj called Beverly complete with a cement pond and everything!

Oh, wait. Am I mixing genres again?
