I am very interested in how you carried your players through this long quest. Did you include some of the old classic Scourge of the Slavelords into it? Here is a copy of my previous response posting to her. I absolutely love the written work in the Slavers. It is what I am using currently with my Slavers campaign. I use it as a guide to help me gather my many various quests from Dyvers to the Pomarj. Of course using the Slavers book requires extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas, but being an old Greyhawker I have those supplies. Even the newer DM's could use the information found for Hardby in Dragon #109 to help. Seafarers's Handbook by Fantasy Flight has been handy as well for the seaborne parts. As for Turrosh Mak I made him a F8/Assassin 9 and the players won't meet him until very late in the campaign if at all. Use what you have and make the most of it in the Pomarj, because the quests are limitless. As a side note Living Greyhawk journal #2 is good for Rhennee information, Dungeon #106 has beasts of the Scarlet Brotherhood information, The Scarlet Brotherhood book is another good one since the two countries are working closely together, Dragon #274 has Pomarji monsters, and lastly Dragon #316 has spy ideas. I could go on and on........ |

They ended up in Highport and got into the Slaver's "temple" there, killed a few of the slavers and got information on where she'd been sent. They left Highport pretty quickly after that. However, this particular batch of slaves had been sold in Highport and shipped to Blue so they never got to the Slaver's City. They ended up in the lost city of Darkdale (homebrew) instead. |

My players are in for some fun! ...as soon as I go down to the dockyard in the city of Dyvers and order some 'Cinnamon from Blackmoor'... |

#8zombiegleemaxApr 27, 2004 8:59:37 | My PCs were members of the Scarlet Brotherhood and, in short, the Slavers weren't sending the Brotherhood their proper cut of slaves in exchange for Brotherhood aid. The PCs then were commissioned to track down the source of this shortage and dispose of him (her.) Meanwhile, further developments lead to the destruction of the main temple of the Earth Dragon Cult and disposal of those high in the church heirarchy. Once those 2 missions were accomplished the campaign ended. When the PCs were on their way back to the Tilvanot Penninsula to collect their rewards and fame for such deeds, they were intercepted by 2 Naval ships, 1 of Hardby and the other of Onwall. Unfortunately for my PCs they had chosen to return home upon a slave ship filled with human cargo. They were boarded and ultimately they all died in the ensuing combat. |
