I coulda sworn there was something on Urik.... All I can think about is the information from the 2nd Ed. Boxed set, as well as parts of the Prism Pentad, and Rise & Fall.

Your best bet for official info is in the adventure Dragon's Crown - Urik is central to the second book (I think - it might be the first). This is probably the best of the DS adventures, so it's a good one to have in your collection, regardless. There's bits and pieces in other books, as well, including: Dune Traders (be wary with this one), and Veiled Alliance (much better source). Other than that, think of Urik as an extremely well-organized police-state.

The most up-to-date info would be in the WC from the 2nd boxed set. Some other sources include:
Lynn Abbey's DS novels (these bring Urik to life like the game materials never can).
WJ p74 (Basic information)
ST p14 (Description of a slave revolt)
ST p16 (The slave culture)
DT p41 (Notes on House Klethira)
VA p77 (General city info. Alliance info and Alliance HQs at Three Sister's Observatory and The King's Cup pottery shop)
EAFW p55 (Templar notes)
WAW p19 (Notes on the King's Academy and the Potter's School)
Arcane Shadows (Shops in Urik, the King's Cup pottery shop)
Dragons Crown (Encounters, locations, Hamanu's Palace, audience with Hamanu, Hamanu's Arena).

Heh, thanks. I am a compulsive listmonkey and did something like this for all the locations featured in pre-2nd box products. Spotted the thread and thought "oooh, now where's that old Word doc...?"

Could I get my hands on that Doc? That would be mighty handy.

How does it compare to http://meteu.octoraro.org/sands/locations.html ?

I drove myself slightly insane compiling that over the course of a month sometime ... oh, seven or eight years ago. totally not kept up to date. If you'd like, I'd actually be happy to post a list like that up on athas.org (or even to set things up with a searchable and editable database so that more people than just you could maintain it...)

For some reason I'm getting a "page not found" report for that page. Probably my flakey machine, though....

Grab and post away by all means. An editable database would probably be a pretty good idea too. I'm sure there's a good few more. Page references for the novels might be kinda cool too... (I knew I should have been making more lists while reading the PP...)

That's a damn impressive list! You deserve the beholder emoticon for that: Righto. That done, it'll probably come in handy. And you should definitely hit that into a database for Athas.org, less compulsive nerds like me will be mighty grateful ;).

I posted the information in a thread (called Location Information) - you can grab it from there. Been having some odd behaviour from my email so I figured that the boards would have to suffice

This is why, when it comes to making exact references, I know that if I can't find the reference, I'm sure Kamelion already has.
