#2DragonhelmApr 18, 2004 19:04:13 | We're looking at somewhere around 18. Has anyone picked up issue #3? What'd you think? |
#3zombiegleemaxApr 18, 2004 19:47:52 | yeah i got issue three today........the art's great but i cant read it yet because i missed issue 2 while on vacation......my shop's trying to get another in for me. Nice to see your name on the cover Dragonhelm. |

#5zombiegleemaxApr 19, 2004 16:31:28 | How well does this comic live up to the LEGEND OF HUMA- THE NOVEL. As much as I loved that novel, There were a lot of things in the book that could have been approved upon and expanded upon. Still, it was a masterpiece of a book. |

#9zombiegleemaxApr 22, 2004 0:29:39 | Originally posted by silvanthalas Are you kidding me? Trades are great for the casual folks who find checking in with the comic stores every month too time consuming, or for the more casual reader who's more into the storyline than the actual collecting aspects. For instance, I pick up Lucifer by Vertigo in trade form every 4-6 months. I'm very much behind the current stuff, but it's still a really great read and cheaper in the long run to just get the trades. That said, I think everyone should buy each individual issue of LoH, as well as the trades. |
#10brimstoneApr 22, 2004 13:19:13 | Originally posted by Andre La Roche I agree...trades really helped me out with the Transformer stuff. I wanted to get caught up on the story...but didn't want to have to pay out the yin yang for Vol. 1 and 2. Luckily, Dreamwave is pretty good about trades. Now on the flipside...I'll have to wait and see about the LoH trades. The quality of the comics is really good, so there may be no reason for me to get a sturdier book. |
#11ferratusApr 22, 2004 14:15:59 | I hate buying comic books myself. They are delicate, expensive, and too short to be satisfying with little snippets of the story from month to month. I buy nothing but trade paperbacks for my comics addiction. I get an entire story arc, the books sit nicely in a shelf. That means I can just pick it up and read it whenever I wish without having to dig through a box. Sure I have to wait a couple months, but there is rarely a comic book storyline which has me deeply excited. It is like the pulp novels or serial programs for me. I don't connect enough with the characters to really get immersed into it, but I enjoy reading and watching the story. |
#12ExodoreMay 12, 2004 16:24:53 | When is issue #4 due to hit the shelves? |
#13brimstoneMay 12, 2004 16:38:00 | I was hoping it would be today...I guess not? Does anyone have it yet? |
#14DragonhelmMay 12, 2004 16:41:31 | Originally posted by Brimstone It should be today. I received my copies already, and they always hit the shelves the same week I get my copies. |
