Forgotten Realms - Ravenloft connections

Apr 25, 2004 20:44:12 Does anyone know of any links, portals, or methods of travel from Faerun to Ravenloft?

I am running a campaign where the PC's have discovered that a valuable NPC is being held prisoner in Ravenloft and they need to get to Ravenloft to free her. Assuming the mists have no interest in obligingly swelling up and whisking them away to where they want to go, if the players wanted to get to Ravenloft how might they go about it?

The PC's are currently in the Luskan/Mirabar vicinity in the North. Anyone have any suggestions?

Apr 25, 2004 21:02:05 There's always the 2nd Edition adventures Castle Spulzeer/The Forgotten Terror, which are specifically designed to take the characters from FR to Ravenloft. Not the best adventures ever written, but they'll get ya from point A to point B

"In the Forgotten Realms, there is a gate in the Greycloak hills, on the western edge of the Anauroch desert. According to rumor, a pit somewhere in these hills leads to Ravenloft."

Apr 25, 2004 23:20:59 Thanks Bela & Mortavius! Castle Spulzeer may be an option I will have to check that out, but the Greycloak hills also seems like a very good candidate. I appreciate the suggestions!
