Howdy!

I was wondering if there is any official GH material for the city of Stoink. I have a lot of the old 1st and 2nd edition GH source material but I can't recall anything off-hand. If anyone knows if there is a city map or details of important NPCs, I'd really appreciate it. Chances are I either have it or know someone who does. Thanks.

There are 2 paragraphs on Stoink in the 2nd ed accessory "Iuz the Evil." No map though.

(We may be seeing that deliberate steering clear of controversy here.) Gary Gygax featured Stoink in Saga of Old City and did a map and some details for a book called Wasp Nest -- The City State of Stoink. It wasn't published and the information was lost.

Thanks for the info on Iuz the Evil. I have it and didn't even think of looking there.

One of the cities of the Bandit Kingdoms was outlined in WG8 Fate of Istus. I'd have to look it up, I think it was RookRoost, not Stoink off hand.

I also believe there is some very limited information in the beginning of Five Shall Be One or Howl From the North (I don't remember which one came first.)

Apparently the barbarians of Rhizia purchase most of their weapons from the Bandit Kingdoms... which always bothered me.

Yes, it's Rookroost.

Why? Bandits smuggling weapons to barbarians strike me as highly coherent. No other nation would do it given they would risk finding the barbarians at their doorstep with said weapons in hand!

The people of Tenh can tell that!

The reason Tenh turned a blind eye to the smuggling was because the Suloise barbarians hated Stonefist and raided it almost constantly. If it wasn't for Vatun (Iuz), Tenh would still be around today.

As far as why the Tenh connection bothered me its in the thread "Roads to Rhizia". I didn't think there was a pass through the Griffs to the Fruztii.
