#1zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 8:28:14 | I made this thread since so many people have the module now and of course probably wish to discuss things within it. DM's can discuss the module here without worrying about their players seeing it. PLAYERS SHOULD STOP READING NOW! ~~~ |
#2lorac75May 26, 2004 8:32:55 | When they found Huma's in Chronicles wasn't it ruined. Did that get fixed by the guy that made the lance's? I don't remember. Huma's lance is a magic item in the mdule. |
#3zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 8:47:41 | I read the Chronicles so long ago that I cannot even recall the books. Where do they find Huma's lance(in the module) ? ~~~ |
#4lorac75May 26, 2004 9:09:24 | I think in chapter 6. I'm still on Chapter 2. |
#5zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 9:14:58 | Ok I am looking to fit a human Mariner NPC & a Qualinesti elf Mystic into the group. Can I do that in Chapter 2 with ease ? ~~~ |
#6kipper_snifferdoo_02May 26, 2004 9:44:56 | Originally posted by LordofIllusions The Mariner could have travelled with the Mikku tribe from Ak Khurman and you could introduce him when they meet the Mikku. As far as the Mystic goes you could have him or her sent by the Citadel of Light for some mission, maybe to deliver a message to the Legion of Steel in Ak Khurman or Pashin even. |
#7zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 9:45:02 | Originally posted by lorac75 Huma's lance wasn't found in Chronicles, it was found in the Dragons of a New Age Trilogy (Day of the Tempest), where it was used as part of Malystryx's bid to become a goddess.... Christopher |
#8zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 9:47:39 | Originally posted by Kipper Snifferdoo I was actually thinking along these lines. I want the mystic to be affiliated with the qualinesti mystic and have both of them travel from the Schallsea Isles together(I will not reveal the entire storyline just yet.). My only problem is where will they meet up with the PC's ? ~~~ |
#9valharicMay 26, 2004 9:55:29 | When they found Huma's in Chronicles wasn't it ruined. Did that get fixed by the guy that made the lance's? I don't remember. What they found in Chronicles was a Knight mounted on a Silver Dragon encased in ice. They never flat out said it was Huma in the chronicles trilogy but alluded that it may be. I don't know if this was ever confirmed anywhere else in books or modules. |
#10zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 9:58:13 | Originally posted by Valharic Nope, it wasn't Huma... it was alluded to, originally, yes, but since then we know (thanks to the Legend of Huma) that Huma died fighting Takhisis a lot further north than Icewall... plus... why would they build Huma's Tomb in Ergoth, if Huma was frozen in ice down in Icewall? ;) Christopher |
#11zombiegleemaxMay 26, 2004 10:24:20 | What is a good PrC for a Barbarian to take in the AoM campaign ? ~~~ |
#12NivedMay 26, 2004 13:25:32 | Depends on the Barbarian. I mean what race is he and what's his disposition? |
#13valharicMay 26, 2004 16:25:45 | Nope, it wasn't Huma... it was alluded to, originally, yes, but since then we know (thanks to the Legend of Huma) that Huma died fighting Takhisis a lot further north than Icewall... plus... why would they build Huma's Tomb in Ergoth, if Huma was frozen in ice down in Icewall? I figured so, but before Legend of Huma came out when I was *cough* younger. I always imagined there was a story where he got secretly resurected to fight one last battle, and died alone in Icewall, and that became his fate. A truly tragic fate for the hero. But that was just my imagination. |

#15zombiegleemaxMay 28, 2004 16:40:11 | I'm not exactly sure this is the proper thread to post this question on, but it certainly doesn't seem to warrant one of its own. So here it goes: What information, if any, does the Key of Destiny offer on the Khurish "versions" of the Krynnish gods? One of my players was thinking about being a Khurish cleric, but neither of us know the first thing about Khurish belief, faith, ritual, worship, etc. Thanks in advance, Shade |
#16kipper_snifferdoo_02May 28, 2004 21:28:22 | I don't believe it details them, but here is a short list and there is a bit more information (three paragraphs on page 117) in the Age of Mortals sourcebook under the regional description of Khur. The SAGA book Heroes of Hope (Book One page 57) has the most info on them. Elir-sana, "Daughter" (Mishakal) (Females clerics only) Great God (High God/Chislev) Kargath (Kiri-Jolith) Rakris (Habbakuk/Chislev) Sky-Father(High God/Chislev) Torghan the Avenger (Sargonnas) |
#17theredrobedwizardMay 29, 2004 7:49:35 | Two words: Frenzied Berserker. Perfect for an "attack first, no questions" kinda barbarian. -TRRW |
#18themindMay 30, 2004 1:43:30 | I have one question, cause i know my players will wonder about this. When they come upon the Mikku tribe and talk to Alakar, he says "on the morrow we all may die.", was he just speaking metaphorically. That's what I'm guessing due to the fact that it doesnt go inot that at all/ But knowing my players, they will probalby ask why they may die tomorrow. I just want to double check on this. |
#19talinthasMay 30, 2004 2:35:27 | yeah, its basically a "live for today" type of message. and i believe he says on the morrow we _may_ die, which is different. |
#20zombiegleemaxJun 01, 2004 10:00:44 | The SAGA book Heroes of Hope (Book One page 57) has the most info on them. I don't have access to Heroes of Hope, nor enough loose change to buy a book for just one page, so I would really appreciate it if someone could elaborate a little further on the Khurish aspects of the gods. The player has now changed her idea to a ranger/druid, so information on Sky-Father, Rakris, Great God would be especially helpful. |
#21zombiegleemaxJun 01, 2004 10:21:09 | Originally posted by TheRedRobedWizard Is this PrC in one of the original 3.0 splatbooks or one of the v.3.5 DL books ? ~~~ |
#22theredrobedwizardJun 01, 2004 10:39:03 | It's in Complete Warrior. "POMR 2 DA PEEPLEZ!!!" - Bronk, the Half-Orc Barbarian 7/Frenzied Berserker 3 -TRRW |
#23kipper_snifferdoo_02Jun 01, 2004 10:39:18 | Originally posted by Shadowalk Nimblefeet Here is a summary of the most important parts. The people of Khur do not actually acknowledge the existance of the pantheon that the other people of Ansalon worship. They have their own gods that in some cases seem to combine the aspects of two gods to create one. The Khur believe the Sky-father is the father of all the gods. He takes on the aspect of the High-God and Chislev. (So basically Chislev would provide the spells for clerics of this god. ) It just says that Rakris may be a manifestation of Habbukuk and/or Chislev. (He is also known as the Hunter's God.) Khurs religious beliefs are so strong that even during the Cataclsym of the 5th Age they have never wavered in their worship of them. Despite the fact that the gods go through periods where they do not grant divine spells the people of Khur refused to belive that "their gods" would abandon the world entirely. They are simply testing the devotion of their people. During the War of the Lance the armies of Takhisis and Paladine fought in a war for the gods of foriegners, lesser gods for a lesser people. Attempts to convert khurs to the worship of Takhisis and Paladine largely failed. |
