What if Thaksis and Paladine...

May 30, 2004 16:16:15 What if the great Platina dragon Paladine got a child with Thaksis? I mean, they are both dragons of a sort... what would the child be, and what would it look like?

May 30, 2004 18:25:42 Well it all depends on which period of time you want the campaign to take place in...Paladine and Mishakal are an item and they have for a very loooooooooooooooooong time. And I don´t think he would be cheating on her (him being good and all...).

But for argument´s sake let´s assume that Pal and Tak did indeed have a child...well it would have HUGE consequences for Krynn. Dragonlance is very much about the balance between good and evil. No matter which side the child would choose that balance would no longer be there. The gods of neutrality would do anything to restore the balance and this could mean all-out war in the heavens (and on Krynn!)

Redundancy aside, seriously dude...there's no way it would ever happen. He's been with Mishakal since their creation, not just a very long time.

He's good. Inherently. Unquestionably. He is the embodiment of all that is righteous. Takhisis, on the other hand, is all that is selfish and evil. Looking at them as representative icons of these forces means they would never mesh. Looking at them as the distinct personalities they are brings the same result...they would never mesh.

After the WoS, he is mortal. And that's that.

It is up to the DM running the game to decide how the storyline runs. In my campaign the war against Chaos does not end the way the book (DoSF) does. In other words, the 5th Age nevers comes to pass, nor does the WoS.

Being deceitful, Takhisis could quite possibly attempt to change form and trick/dupe Paladine into fathering an offspring. You see this type of stuff in Mythology all of the time.
