#1zombiegleemaxJun 01, 2004 0:59:53 | I have a question about the kinight of th Lily . would the character be a fighter/squier until he meets the requiremnets to be a lily?and according to the chart in the DLCS they get at level one a sneak attack of +1d6 , or would he be a multiclass fighter then when he reaches 5 level a knight of the Lily? Im confused on how it works. Thanks |

The requirements are just: Base attack +5 Knowledge (religion) 2 ranks, Initimidate 4 ranks Honor-bound Squire of the Lily As pretty much any class can fill these, you can become a knight with virtually anything. Fighter is of course, one of the quickest paths, but not the only. As for the squire of the lily thing, its mostly a roleplaying thing. You have to be accepted as a squire, and be a squire for one full level. For example, if you became a squire when you were level 2, and 100 experience to level 3, then once you hit level 3 you would have to stay a squire until level 4. Optionally, the DM can just say you begin play as one, and save the trouble. Once you meet the requirements, you can take a Knight of the Lily level and have it as a prestige class, then do that for a while, go back and forth between it and other classes, etc. Like all other prestige classes, it doesn't affect your multi-classing for the purposes of experience penalties. If, as per your example, you took fighter levels, then upon your first level of KotL you would be: Fighter 5 / Knight of the Lily 1. A 6th level character in total. You could then go straight KotL, back to fighter, or alternate. Hope that helps some. |
