#1zombiegleemaxJun 02, 2004 11:17:44 | I read on the Internet that there were a trio of books about twins. Supposedly, the twins were brothers named Raistlin and Caramon, but I read somewhere else that the twins were a brother and sister. Which one is correct? |
#2zombiegleemaxJun 02, 2004 11:21:02 | Originally posted by Ashrayn The twins as I know them are Caramon and Raistlin. I think that Kitiara is related to Raistlin too but they are not billed as the twins. ~~~ |
#3zombiegleemaxJun 02, 2004 12:20:44 | :headexplo not know who the twins are??? :headexplo caramon&raistlin are twins, kitiara is their older sister. |
#4brimstoneJun 02, 2004 12:47:36 | Actually...they're both right. Caramon and Raistlin are the twins. Caramon is the brother, Raistlin is the sister. The clues are there for those who wish to see them. |

#10zombiegleemaxJun 02, 2004 14:59:59 | Originally posted by Kipper Snifferdoo Wow! I'm back on alt.fan.dragonlance! Actually, I almost had a picture commissioned for Age of Mortals that had Lord Soth's helmet turned upside down with a petunia growing out of it, but decided that would just be too silly. #11brimstoneJun 02, 2004 15:03:23 | Originally posted by vejono It's a really long story (and a funny one, too). Unfortunately...I can never remember the link to that essay on the subject. If someone has it...they should post it again...it's been about a year or more since the last discussion. :D |
#12brimstoneJun 02, 2004 15:06:28 | Originally posted by jechambers That would have been hillarious!!! As a piece of art...it could have been an excellent memorial. Lord Soth's helmet out in a field...half burried in the ground with a flower growing out of it; a crumbled and collapsed Dargaard Keep in the back ground looming over everything. That would have been beautiful...and would have worked on two levels as an inside joke, too. Ah well...what a loss though. |

#16zombiegleemaxJun 02, 2004 21:17:47 | If those were not the most stupid articles I ever read, the abyss take them. |
#17talinthasJun 02, 2004 21:26:17 | Dude, those are classics. Dragonlance online fandom is built off of a long and storied history debating whether raist was a woman, or if tanis was gay, or if soth was a potted plant. A lot of us dinos cut our teeth on these discussions years ago =) And jamie, i'd pay money for a painting of soth's helm and petunia =) Hell, thats what i'm going to call his Nightmare now. Petunia, the ever living =) |
#18DragonhelmJun 02, 2004 21:29:59 | Originally posted by jechambers Should have gone with a rose, dude. Have it to the side of the helm, showing that from death, there was life. Then again, that's me being cheesy. ;) BTW, Brim, you get negative XP for bringing the "Raistlin is a woman" thread back to life. :P |
#19maladaarJun 02, 2004 23:04:40 | First off, someone please send that kid a copy of the LotR Trilogy with the dates that the stories were written highlighted. Second, what chemical is that other moron on (the one that wrote the Raistlin is a woman article)? I am sure whatever it is that is an illegal substance. Stupidity does not discriminate...and anyone can show flashes of it from time to time (including myself). |
#20talinthasJun 02, 2004 23:31:40 | Does the term Satire mean anything to you? |
#21quentingeorgeJun 03, 2004 1:41:00 | Irony? Isn't that like goldy or bronzey? |
#22maladaarJun 03, 2004 2:08:42 | Was it satire? If so, it went completely over my head. In my defense though, I do work the zombie shift and sometimes become a numskull. As I said, stupidity does not discriminate...and I have just been bushwhacked. |
#23talinthasJun 03, 2004 2:23:35 | heh. no harm done. Dragonlance Underground is a website formed by a bunch of disgruntled DL fans for the express purpose of making fun of dragonlance =) A lot of old injokes from the news group and mailinglist found their way there, and whenever newbies stumble upon it, hilarity ensues, cause they never get the joke =) |
#24zombiegleemaxJun 03, 2004 8:38:54 | :whatsthis That whole site(Dragonlance Underground) is corny. ~~~ |
#25brimstoneJun 03, 2004 9:39:59 | Originally posted by Dragonhelm I told you...it wasn't my fault. You saw the first post of the thread...I couldn't help myself...it's a conditioned response. heh heh I think Dragonlance Underground is a hillarious website. I love Dragonlance dearly...but let's face it, there are a lot of things to poke holes in, and it can be quite funny to do so. That being said...I still agree that the Raistlins are probably on something. ;) |
