#2zombiegleemaxJun 02, 2004 22:25:50 | Yes and yes |
#3brimstoneJun 03, 2004 9:43:31 | Originally posted by SadExchange Well...yes and no. The latest books are definately written with the 3.5 rules. The DLCS and the AoM book were being written at the same time as the new 3.5 rules. So, while most of those two books are 100% compatible with 3.5...there are a few things that slipped through in 3.0. |
#4zombiegleemaxJun 03, 2004 9:54:28 | But just to clarify the many positions your getting here. The AoM and DLCS are v.3.5 books. ~~~ |
#5zombiegleemaxJun 03, 2004 13:22:54 | So you mean that in order to play the DLCS i should have all the 3.5 corebooks?, if yes, then i think i have to buy me those books first as i only have the 3.o corebooks. |
#6zombiegleemaxJun 03, 2004 14:25:47 | Originally posted by FumaNoOni no. i play DL in 3.0. it just rquires a bit of downgrading. i.e. it says "kender get a +2 racial bounous to sleight of hand" wich translates as "kender get a +2 racial bonus to pick pocket" |
#7NivedJun 04, 2004 13:34:43 | I too play using my 3.0 books, like CNEFD said its entirely possible to do this. I like 3.5 rules I just don't have the money for the new core books yet (all my gaming money has been going to Sovereign press lately) |
#8nukeJun 04, 2004 16:56:17 | If that's the case, you should maybe consider using the SRD (System Reference Document). It has all of the open content for 3.5. So you could use that up until you can afford to buy the core rulebooks. You can access it by clicking on the d20 system icon when you enter the D&D site. |
#9NivedJun 04, 2004 17:01:32 | Well my players all still have their 3rd edition books, and I've had the SRD since 3.5 came out, but printing it out would cost me in paper and ink enough that I should just buy the books. Its not like I can DM from my computer... |
