#1zombiegleemaxJun 06, 2004 23:57:05 | About three years ago, I found a good deld (half-elf/half-dwarf) and elfling (elf/halfling) writeup, (along with tari, and terek) Anyway, I lost them and havent been able to find them on the net since.... Anyone have it on there puter or know were I can look? Thats about it I feel a lil outa place here going from being the most knowledgable (about DS) back to the student... Peace |

#3zombiegleemaxJun 07, 2004 6:29:31 | Jon had the elfling, but Im looking for 2nd ed wright up.... I new the dwelf was a deld.... Its a shame all the old websites fell threw |
#4dawnstealerJun 07, 2004 7:52:29 | Here's the write-up on the dwelf. If you're interested in 2e, the best way to make a half-race is to use the difference. For example, 2e DS Elves had +2 Dex, +1 Int, -1 Wis, and -2 Con. 2e Dwarves had +2 Con, +1 Str, -1 Dex, -2 Cha. Split the difference and you get +1 Str, +1 Dex, +1 Int, -1 Wis, and -2 Cha. As long as the number balance out (+3, -3), you're fine. Note that is only for 2e, though!! In 3 & 3.5e, there's a different balancing system (Str and Dex are worth more than Int and Wis), so you have to be a bit more careful. Also, the jumps are only by 2's (+2, -2, +4, -4, etc). Also keep in mind special abilities that would come with the race and the fact they may add to the initial starting level; it's hard to make a race that starts at first level, but is still enticing enough to play. |

#8zombiegleemaxJun 08, 2004 7:49:30 | Yea... Um I only do 2nd ed.... So thats the right up Im looking for.... BUt I appreciate your help |
#9dawnstealerJun 08, 2004 9:40:31 | 2e's easy to create for - just follow the directions in the earlier post. Keep in mind that using that method will give an elfling a whopping +4 to Dex, though. |
#10zombiegleemaxJun 08, 2004 17:05:15 | Naw you average it out +2 dex - 2 con +1 Int - 1 Chr Thats a basic that keeps everything relitivly simple, Elvean Intell Halfling Chr, Comb dex/con Now for enterest sake you could also do... +1 Str +2 dex - 2 con + 1 Int - 2 Chr and get halfling strength on a bigger frame.... |
