#1zombiegleemaxJun 08, 2004 5:24:36 | I was wondering, not any genius in genetics, but just wandering... When I looked Dragonlance Core Rulebook and Half-Ogre there, did that picture there mean there can be Half-Ogre/Half-Minotaurs? Because if there can be - think about this: - Can Ogre and Kender mate - maybe not (could be couple other size related problems also). - Can Minotaur mate with humans or Kender - maybe not either (seems little problematic). BUT, if you would have Half-Ogre/Half-Minotaur (not the biggest giant) who would mate with Half-Kender/Half-Human (who would be rather big). Could that be possible? WHAT would that look-like? What if that "creature" would mate with elf... (it should be possible because humans and kender can mate with elves)... Remember - DONT TAKE this too seriously. More likely crap few beers and THEN think over... |
#2theredrobedwizardJun 08, 2004 6:40:16 | That "half-ogre" caption is wrong. It's supposed to say "Half-Ogres" over the two ogre-y looking ones and Minotaur over the other one. Ogres and Minotaurs can't mate. A Half-Ogre/Half-Human could concievably mate with a Half-Kender/Half-Human. The result would probably look like an ugly, burly half-elf. With a topknot. -TRRW |

I always thought Minotaurs have hooves, but that one has shoes on, as far as I remember...besides, in later pics of minotaurs, those have hooves and not normal feet...may it be, that, since minotaurs actually belong to the ogre-race, there r rare half-minotaurs, which then would fall under the title half-ogre, as well? |

#7cam_banksJun 09, 2004 9:33:16 | Originally posted by stige Well, it is related to goblinoids. It's a goblin mutation, in fact, and can be found also among bugbears and hobgoblins. What isn't certain is how they came to be that way, and the running theory presented in the Bestiary is that they're goblins born with two warring souls, one of which is a goblin ancestor struggling to return to the world. #8zombiegleemaxJun 09, 2004 12:04:45 | Originally posted by Cam Banks oh you right...they are gobinoids... but the theory s not even a theory it is a goblins' belife...and goblins are quite stuiped...so i find"crown"'s theory much more suffice, you just need to let a goblinoid mate with the half half half half creature and you get a gurrik cha'al... (not seriously) |
