#1zombiegleemaxJun 13, 2004 19:09:36 | Can you tell me about this? When events take place? What difference between AG: G1-3 and AG: Liberation of Geoff? Can you describe me events involved? Any other that I should know? Thanks for help |
#2Gnarley_WoodsmanJun 13, 2004 19:34:13 | The major differenc is that AtG and LoG is that the latter is the current state of affairs. Circa 591CY. The events of AtG take place a few years prior to that. For the sake of being complete the authors included updated (2e rules) renditions of the G1,2 and 3 modules. Liberation of Geoff is the basis for the Living Geoff campaign for the RPGA. I find that site to be an enormous source of information for my game. Hope that helps. Good Gaming!!! |

The modules do not state any names concerning villages or regions drawn from the Greyhawk campaign setting, and therefore can be placed anywhere at the behest of the DM. However, since thier printing the module were reprinted into the Queen of Spiders Super-Module which clearly places them in the Greyhawk setting. The modules have become almost iconic in that they are considered the first published Greyhawk campaign. Good Gaming!! |
#5MortepierreJun 14, 2004 11:27:02 | Actually, according to the From the Ashes boxed set, the locations are as follows: Hill Giant steading: hex P5-129 Frost Giant rift: hex S5-134 Fire Giant hall: hex M5-138 |
#6ElendurJun 14, 2004 12:22:33 | The gold box 'World of Greyhawk' campaign setting lists locations for most of the AD&D modules that had been published before it. Here is a link that lists these locations: http://www.dracheninsel.de/insel/add/greyhawk/modules.htm Since most of these come from the campaign setting, I consider them 'official' as far as Greyhawk goes. |
#7zombiegleemaxJun 14, 2004 15:54:47 | Thanks all |
#8Gnarley_WoodsmanJun 14, 2004 21:33:25 | The modules text however does not place themselves in Greyhawk. This leaves them open to interpretation. As much as I am an enormous Greyhawk fan truth be told the modules/events were only "added" to the setting later. Good gaming!!! |
