#1zombiegleemaxJun 15, 2004 12:14:55 | Aside from those already listed on the releases from athas.org, and those posted on athas online, has anyone come up with any prestige classes of their own for dark sun? On a side note, does anyone think the Ur-Priest would fit Athas? Stealing elemental/divine energy from the planes for power.. or stealing energy from a sorcerer king. |
#2GrummoreJun 15, 2004 12:42:01 | Originally posted by Orbdrin Mizzrym I've done a couple that are on my web site (link below). Although, they are still in 3E, not yet converted in 3.5E. I have Ral's Hunter, Pterrax's Rider and the Traders as core class. Have a look at my web site, I have a couple of nice things and the HUGIEST, aah again, yes, HUGIEST Darksun links page. Yeah... Feeling good. :D |
#3SysaneJun 15, 2004 12:49:55 | I took David Noonan's advise and made Bard a PrC. I pretty much used the Assassin PrC and made the prereqs. Preform 8 ranks, Craft (poison) 8 ranks, and Gather Infomation 4 ranks, alignment any non good. I also stripped them of spell casting and upped their skills points per level to 6 + Int mod and gave them the Bardic Knowledge abililty. I feel this best reflects the Athasian Bard feel. --Sysane, The Terror of Urik |
#4xlorepdarkhelm_dupJun 15, 2004 13:02:31 | Originally posted by Orbdrin Mizzrym I've used PrC's from other sources. I think the Psychic Weapon Master fits for Dark Sun, for instance. Basically, I work off of a basis that if it does not adversely affect the feel of Dark Sun, then I usually permit them. If I don't think that such a PrC can exist on Dark Sun, they simply aren't allowed in my games. It's a very subjective/judgemental system I keep, one which that me, as the DM, has total control and say over, the Players simply have to accept my decisions. |
#5PennarinJun 15, 2004 13:44:47 | There's a druid PrC that will soon be uploaded unto Nytcrawler's site. Check-it out when it comes out. I have also attempted to design a defiler PrC that would allow the individual to drain specially prepared living entities, like a dragon, so as to have an energy reserve in places like the Obsidian Plains but I partially failed. From the books, I would allow Master of the Unseen Hand (modified to be a psionic class with XPH rules) and the Mindspy (again, a psionic class) from the Complete Warrior. From Hyperconscious: Explorations in Psionics (Malhavoc Press), the Cerebral Rager, Crystal Proselyte, Pattern Master, Psychic Chirurgeron and Astral Zealot. From the The Mind’s Eye on the WotC website, the Arch Psion, Constructor and Psychic Weapon Master. |
#6KamelionJun 15, 2004 13:45:21 | I also made a version of a trader class, along with a bunch of feats to go with it. I stopped developing it when I started working on Terrors of Athas and I haven't picked it up since but there may well be ideas you can use. Lemme know if you want a copy and I'll mail it to ya |
#7SysaneJun 15, 2004 13:48:06 | I think the Mindbender from Tome & Blood would have made a better Psionic PrC than arcane. If that was tweaked it could fit. --Sysane, The Terror of Urik |
#8PennarinJun 15, 2004 14:20:24 | The Mindbender, XPH psionic version, can be found done and redone by fans on the Psionics Boards. Choose whatever version you like the best. Here. I have done my own psionic version of Master of the Unseen Hand, if anyone is interested. |
